Thanks!! Does he think they feel hot since they're lined? Hopefully he can avoid any seam blowouts....lol!

Kathy I love this suit! What fabric did you order? It looks like it fits him perfectly. And yes, my FI would totally do something like set up his back drop and model these. LOL. Thanks for the pic! Brandy don't get discouraged!! It sounds like you're losing weight the correct way and that by changing your lifestyle, it will stay off. I've always thought that losing weight is about 90% diet. I run about 15 miles a week when I'm not training for a race and get upwards of 40ish miles in when I have a marathon coming up. No matter that I'm burning all of those calories running, I notice in my hips and abdomen if I eat poorly several days in a row. If I just eat more clean for a few days, I can lean back out. What I find most difficult is to find healthy choices to eat when I'm running around like crazy at the hospital. I try to bring protein bars and other healthy choices but don't always succeed when that Mexican bar in the cafeteria calls my name... Long story short (too late!), KEEP IT UP and you'll meet your goal. You're bound to plateau a bit from time to time. I don't worry a whole bunch about my overall weight, I just pay attention to how my clothes fit. You should be quite proud of yourself for getting that many pounds off sensibly already:) I ordered mine from this same etsy seller a week ago and am so excited to get mine! She's doing them in a 2" wedge flip flop with a deep purple ribbon and rhinestone starfish. Thanks for the tip Lady!

Has anyone tried "Latisse" to grow your lashes?
greysgirl replied to SouthernSweetie's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I'm on my third night of Latisse and am excited to see my results. I have several friends who have used it and love their results. They even had to back off using it to only once or twice a week because their lashes were getting too bushy! I've worn MAC's flirty false extensions before on special occasions, and loved them, but getting them on is always a hassle and it seemed like I always had one come loose by the end of the night. Latisse is running a BOGO special right now too! -
Great suggestions! I was thinking I may do a pic wearing my purple wedding shoes and just his purple tie strategically placed. I'm going to have to drink some serious gin and tonics before I do my shoot so I don't look like a deer in the headlights!

Yaaay Lua! I am a runner and love when people discover running and get excited. I heard an Oprah quote once that said, "Running is a great metaphor for life, because you truly get out of it what only you put into it". If you have a good base built, you'll be fine only running once while you're in Jamaica. I'm running a 1/2 the weekend after my Vegas bachelorette party....I may still be legally drunk when I do it. LOL! What plan are you using to train with? I met Hal Higdon this year at the Chicago Marathon expo and he has some great plans that I've used for other races. Keep us posted! You'll cross the finish line of that race and be hooked:) Theresa you rocked out a long list of wedding to do's. Way to go!! For all of you ladies who are losing some serious pounds and toning up for your weddings, I'm super impressed! Keep up the good work! Does everyone have their FI's wedding day attire already? We have looked a little bit but aren't sure what to get for him. I'd like him in a suit (since I already got the purple tie from Nordy's when I ordered my TTD) but he's worried he'll be hot. My dress is a little too formal to have him in a short sleeved shirt I think. Are any of your FIs wearing flip flops with their suits? I also agree....having this forum, & this thread for that matter, is so nice to share in our excitement and planning!!

Mocha and Tiera- I just found this one at www.tiebar.com ( i couldn't get the pic to copy so I had to post this link...) http://www.thetiebar.com/order_page.asp?pn=19052&orderPageReturn=%2FcategoryPages%2FGold_Orange_Ties.asp&pg=1&i=129&xlOnly=&boysTiesOnly=

FI and I were filling out our marriage license application last night and the website said that the completed licenses will be mailed 60-120 days after the wedding. Did it seriously take 2-4 months to get your license? Did anyone apply for and receive a certified copy sooner? Thanks! http://hawaii.gov/health/vital-records/vital-records/marriage/index.html

Mocha- Great BM's dress and color! I think tangerine rocks! Have you tried www.thetiebar.com for any ties? They have a huge variety, and they're usually cheap too. Tenny- Ugh. People suck sometimes. If you really don't care to have her there, maybe you can gently say that you were hurt by her letter saying that your friendship wasn't the same anymore, but that you re-evaluated things and that you feel the same. Not all friends are in your life for a lifetime. It's like that saying that people are in your life for a reason, season, or lifetime. Maybe her season has come and gone.....and it's okay for you to gently tell her you'd prefer she not come if that's how you feel. I'd hate for you to feel tension on your wedding day she's there with her 3 friends. Try to let this drama roll off of your back.

I am using both Dan and Jessica based on your recommendations. I have spoken with Dan twice on the phone and he is very responsive. His prices have tripled over the amount you paid, which is a bit hard to swallow, but it's a special day. Thanks for your feedback on him!

Mocha those cakes are adorable! And look quite tasty. I like the luggage tags Erin!

My TTD came in today with FI's tie! I heart Nordy's. Here's a pic. I wanted the pearlized trim, but they were out. What do you ladies think? Is it too much boob? I tried to stuff the girls down...

I'm sorry you guys have had drama with people being wishy washy on booking. Take a deep breath and just know that the two most important people will be there:) This week my list of To Do's isn't too bad: order FI's tie for the wedding (who knew there were that many tacky purple ties?!?) figure out what type of suit he'll wear look for his TTD attire send in contracts for my hair and makeup gurus email photog about her opinion on our beach location choices import our invite list to our invitation company (it was ONLY $25 to have our address and our guest's address printed on our envelopes. Sold!) book my BD session

White Dress- where I bought my dress

FUN!! 1. I am almost more excited to wear my wedding shoes than my dress b/c I LOVE THEM 2. I still have trouble remembering FI's birthday b/c my Daddy died right around his birthday and between his funeral, death date, and FI's b-day, I get them confused.....is it the 25th or 27th? We'd only been dating 3 months when Daddy died, and FI was so great during my grief. 3. My girlfriends are taking me to Vegas for my bachelorette party and I am SO EXCITED for some time to party with my girls! 4. Speaking of Vegas, the last time I was there my friend and I ended up throwing craps for Bernie Mack and his brother at 4am after clubbing and won them $350,000 5. I have probably seen over 1000 babies born, and I still get teary with nearly every one:)

Help! Attire for our reception back home.....
greysgirl replied to hlinnea10's topic in Maui Weddings
Our AHR is less than 2 weeks after we return and we're both wearing the outfits we were married in to it. -
WOW Tris! Those invites look fantastic! You can tell you have a lot of creative talent

Hi Ladies! I've been stuck at the hospital on call since Friday morning, so I've gotten lots of stuff done in my down time! I ordered some super cute wedge flip-flops from the same etsy person Brandy used (our resident shoe ), finished our website with some updates, finalized our block of rooms for out of town guests for our AHR, booked my hair and makeup artists for Maui, ordered my TTD, confirmed our invite proof, and retyped our guest list into Excel so that the invitation company can print each address on our invites. Whew! Less than 3 months to go! Brandy I'm loving your FI's suit!! We're still looking for Greyson, and have considered using http://www.studiosuits.com/index.php?main_page=down_for_maintenance&zenid=de7ea5d659c36d87b4c9bf9034d2d73b. If you don't mind me asking, how much was your FI's suit from Macy's? Has anyone done a BD shoot yet? I am wanting to do one, but am getting a bit nervous about running out of time!

Prenuptial Agreement?
greysgirl replied to Tiffanya21's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Great thread. While I understand the "touchiness" of a prenup, it does have its place in some marriages. As terribly unromantic as it sounds, a marriage is a legal contract between two parties and the state. I did not get a pre-nup when I was married at the age of 22, and after 5 years of marriage and significant asset changes, I regretted it upon our divorce. I had to pay my ex-husband alimony for 3 years as well as assume some of his debts he had prior to our marriage. I swore that I wouldn't get remarried without a pre-nup, however, FI and I aren't getting one. He was actually the one who brought it up and said he'd be more than happy to sign one if I wanted it, due to my divorce settlement. After consulting with my attorney and lots of thought, I decided not to get one because our net worth is nearly identical. I think the "20-year" pre-nup is an excellent idea as it recognizes such a long marriage as an investment for both parties. For those of you who have been asked by your families, or your FI's families, try not to be offended. It really is a matter of protecting their precious assets. With the divorce rate over 50%, it's unfortunately logical to inquire about asset protection in the event of a divorce. Best wishes:) -
My AHR shoes are 4" heels and I'm wearing the same dress for our beach wedding, so I've found some wedge flip flops that are 2" and I'm just going to have the dress altered to 3".

There's a thread on here with $99 custom linen suits that lots of BDW girls have used and loved. This may help:) http://www.studiosuits.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=270&zenid=de7ea5d659c36d87b4c9bf9034d2d73b

I've stayed at the Marriott and LOVED it. The location was gorgeous, and you can't beat the views. Plus, Blue Havana rocked! Good choice! There was this awesome restaurant up in the hills overlooking the harbor called Mafolie's that was amazing....and would be a good rehearsal dinner spot or romantic dinner for you and DH. Congrats!

I also love the photobooth idea! We're having one and putting a big box of props inside it complete with mustaches, hats, masks, wigs, etc. I can't wait to see everyone's pics....especially as the night goes on the the alcohol flows;)
