Brandy, your cake is adorable! What a lucky girl to have such a great FMIL:) On another note, I bought FI some white linen drawstring pants last summer when we did our site visit to Mexico (thinking we were doing a Mexican DW at that time). He never wore them, the tags are still on them, and the store won't take them back b/c I of course don't have the receipt anymore....so I thought I'd offer them to you ladies before I list them on here. They're Murano brand, size 36 x 32, and are new with tags. Originally $65, I bought them for $20, and I'll take $15 for them. Any takers? I'll send pics if interested.

Wow. I hadn't gotten on here in 2 days....and had 10 pages of posts to read! Love it. I'm sorry all of you ladies are having drama with families/friends/FMonster-in-Laws. Weddings are supposed to be such a happy time and it's disappointing that not all adults can see that. Try to let it roll off of your backs and realize that we'll be ON THE BEACHES in a few weeks!! On that drama note, my sister left me a voicemail 2 days ago saying she felt bad about our phone conversation and wanted to talk. I haven't called her back yet....not sure I'm ready to make nice. Knowing her, I think she just wants me to make her feel better about being so self-absorbed. I'm not feeling it. I'm sure it'll smooth over eventually, but I'm not ready yet. I had some major flames coming from my debit card this weekend and have already received my dresses I bought for the honeymoon from Piperlime. LOVE them! And I loved how cheap most of them were. And to boot they all fit! This is sad Tris. I fully understand. Maybe she's feeling guilty about not going to your DW so she's avoiding the issue? Truely not the best way of doing it, but maybe that's her intent. I know it's hard too, but friendships do change, and not all are for a lifetime. People are in your life for a reason, season, or lifetime I believe:) Hopefully you two will get this worked out, either way. Big hug. Lua- You're a sewing machine!! What if you talked with your mom and gently mentioned that you don't want to lug 2 dresses down to Mexico, but promise to wear "your" dress to the AHR so that everyone can see you in it? Although I'm eloping, I'll chime in:) I think that guests who chose to attend your DW automatically assume they'll be footing the bill for their travels. After all, it's not like you're asking them to come to your wedding on the North Pole. They are getting some-what of a vacation too. We were initially planning a DW in Playa del Carmen and had discussed paying for a welcome party, reception, and 1 excursion for our guests. That being said, you certainly don't HAVE to pay for anything for them. I don't think you're required to pay for their meals (other than the reception meal) b/c you wouldn't pay for their meals the days up to and after your wedding if you had it at home. People have a choice to attend or not, or whether they can afford the trip. You'll have to decide with your FI what you can afford, who (if any) people you will help pay to get there, and then be prepared for some guests you'd like to have there, just flat out not be able to afford the trip. Welcome back! Don't worry about how small your wedding feels.....we're eloping and then having a reception at home. So don't feel bad about writing your own rules:) Kitty, Where are you getting your cigars? We're having a cigar table at our AHR, and are shopping around for good reasonable cigars. We originally wanted a cigar-roller.....but then realized we'd have to fly one in from Miami.

You're so right Meggers, and great advice Tenny. I'm so sorry for your losses. I lost my father also a few summers ago and wear his diamond in a right hand ring. It definitely will be on when we get married. It is a bit tricky to honor them without turning the mood sad. I plan to dance with my brother while my FI dances with his mom during our AHR, to "What a Wonderful World", my Daddy's favorite song. Brandy, your gifts rock....not that I expected any less:) They turned out great. Ellabaja, sorry you're having a rough day! At least the week is over half-way complete:) I don't blame you for being irked at your FI's procrastination. I don't think it's coded in men's DNA to be super task-oriented. LOL! Thank God for Sticky notes! I'm also sorry your photog is giving you grief! That was fairly ballsy to ask you to change your date. Keep us posted on that situation! Lisa, I like both, but I think the green rocks make the starfish standout more. They tend to blend in with the white flower if you go with white. Great job! You ladies are so creative! Mocha, I forgot to post a few back that I LOVE the NineWest shoes! Plus, NineWests are usually pretty comfy. And you can totally wear those again.! Bailey, we're not getting our parents gifts, but we are hosting a brunch the day after our AHR. I think we'll end up getting them photobooks with our Maui pics and our AHR pics together afterward.

I'm nervous about this too, but have decided to carry my dress on and then my coordinator has arranged to have my dress picked up, taken to a shop to be steamed, then delivered back to our hotel. Not an ideal situation, but it is what it is.

Lisa and Tris- Your centerpieces look great!! Very creative:) Lua- Your rings look awesome! I like his quite a bit. Is it platinum? Your wedding band looks great with your e-ring too! I can see why you'd want to keep wearing it. My e-ring has pave on the sides of the band....and sometimes I wish I could get a band to wear with it, but our jeweler says it'd eventually knock off some diamonds. Maybe I'll talk him into some wedding earrings;)

I love these frames!! I like how they can be either contemporary or traditional based upon the letter style and color. I have a black and white one in my office that says "run". Isn't Etsy the best?!?
