    My daddy passed away 2 years ago this summer and I will most likely walk myself down the aisle. I do have an older brother whom I'm guessing would like to take our dad's "place" in that role of "giving me away", so I may do that too. I don't feel strongly about either way really. The beauty of a DW is that YOU get to decide if you want to be solo down that aisle or not. I say go with your gut:) Best of luck!

    Hi Jessica:) We're looking at the Riu's for our wedding, and just booked a trip next weekend on a whim to check them out. We'll be staying at the Riu Palace Mexico. Let me know if you have any specific things you want me to check out!

    I lost my Daddy in July of 2008. I plan to wear his diamond from his wedding ring in my right-hand ring. I also will have his pic in a frame wrapped on my bouquet and my brother and I will dance to "What a Wonderful World", his favorite song. Man I miss him What about having your FI wear one of his ties? Or saving his "chair" in the front row and placing a tropical corsage on it during the ceremony when you honor him/them?

    I found this dress by accident one day (literally...I had ordered food next door and was waiting for it, so I decided to pass the time by looking in the window of the bridal salon). I tried it on and loved it. Plus, it's only $238!!!! And super light-weight. Do you think I can get away with it for our destination wedding? Please forgive my goofy look in this pic:) Ha!

    We're in the same place as you....know we want a DW in the Riviera Maya, at a resort that allows kids but isn't all kids all the time. I'll keep checking back to see what you decide. Congrats:)

    I have seasonal allergies and swear by nasal irrigators (Neti Pot) and Zyrtec-D. It's over the counter, but has worked best for me. I tried many Rx drugs that didn't help: Astelin (nasal antihystamine), Xyzal (oral antihystamine), Nasonex, Singulair, and a few others. I could sell Zyrtec-D I like it so much! I am pretty sensitive to ephedrine products also, so I was weary of the 'D' aspect, but it doesn't make me jittery at all. Good luck!
