  1. What about setting them in each chair so that when your guests sit down they can start using them?
  2. Wow! Thanks for the quick response! I did take LOTS of pics that I'll post hopefully tomorrow (if I get any sleep tonight...on call. Blah!) of the grounds, the rockin' pool area, the gazebo, the beach where weddings are held, the resturants, etc. My FI and I loved it, and know our guests will too. We did see one small wedding in the gazebo that was held at 2pm-ish. The meeting w/ Nancy went well, especially since we didn't make an appointment and just walked up to her desk She seemed very nice and eager to help. Thanks again for your quick answers! Is the group contract rate you signed with the Riu through the sales dept? That's awesome you got such great rates! I'll look into that...

  4. We are ready to book at the Riu Palace RM:) We were just there last week for a site visit/engagement celebration and LOVED it. The food was amazing, the beach was gorgeous, and the pool was so much fun. Our guests will love it. We even met with Nancy, the wedding coordinator. I have a few questions for you girls: 1. When you book online through weddingsbyriu.com, are you bound to the package you pick and number of guests? 2. How long did it take for them to confirm your date? 3. Are the coordinators responsive to emails? 4. Did you girls get any special rates for your groups? Thanks SO MUCH and I'm super excited that we've made this choice:)
  5. 1179.04 + 8.1 this morning to run off some of the chips/guac/beer I consumed on our site visit= 1187.14 miles

Congrats on losing the weight! My sister-in-law had an abdominoplasty after her babies and is quite pleased. She too has regained some weight but still has a flat abdomen. You may not even qualify for an abdominoplasty though and may just "need" abdominal liposuction....which is whole lot cheaper and a much quicker recovery. I do anesthesia for these procedures a few times a month and know that most patients who've get abdominoplasty have lax abdominal muscles. If you have a reasonably tight base layer of abdominals and the covering around the muscle (called fascia) then liposuction may be helpful. I have never seen it completed, but I have heard some good talk amongst the plastic surgeons about the laser lipo because it apparently shrinks the skin also. It still is a surgical procedure, just less invasive. Here's a link to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and their info on abdominoplasty. Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty) Cosmetic Procedure Information They have good info on before and after pics, FAQs, etc. I would be certain you pick a plastic surgeon who is BOARD CERTIFIED in plastic surgery. I'm not sure how NJ is, but in my area of the country, any doctor who gets "special training" can do plastic procedures!! I have been in the operating room with some of their patients trying to fix their bad results. Not good. Another word to the wise: shop around! Ask to see his before and after pics. Remember you are the customer and have options:) Just because he's a doctor doesn't mean he's a good one unfortunately. Good luck whatever you chose and feel free to PM me if you have any ?s
  7. I've been to both Cozumel and St.Thomas, and have yet to find a more gorgeous beach than Maegan's Bay in St.Thomas. It is stunning. Here's a link to it and congrats! megan's bay - Google Search We spent a day here when we were in St.Thomas and couldn't believe how gorgeous it was. Good luck:)
  8. I just stumbled onto this map and thought it might help someone else:) Mayan Riviera Hotel Map : TravelYucatan.com
  9. We leave bright and early in the morning for our scouting trip and land in Cancun at noon. I'm excited....even though the weather calls for scattered T-storms the entire time we're there. Oh well!
  10. I got one of those gigantic turkey fryers from my former in-laws for Christmas one year....and at that time was a vegetarian!

I'm not a huge fan of MGM (because I'm a Wynn-devotee), but I will stay at Signature. We stayed there for a bachelorette party 2 years ago and it was gorgeous! Plus, the beds were soooo comfy, although we slept only 3 hours total in 48 hours in Vegas. It's off the strip, and it does take a bit of walking to get there, so a cab is a must if you're in heels. The pool at Signature is nice and way more laid back than your stereotypical Vegas pool. If you want crazy pool antics, just take the little walkway to the MGM pool. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the MGM pool. Another big plus for a girl's weekend at Signature is the bathroom size! We had 6 girls in our room and were all able to get ready at the same time.

I'll take some pics and let you know. PM me your email address and I'll send them to you if you want.
  13. I saw this article and it does look gorgeous. I also looked at some Trip Advisor reviews which were quite positive. If it were an AI, it would have been a more appealing option for us.
  14. I felt awful for her watching the way he was so cold and pompous during the interview. He looked like he was a bad actor, and not some guy breaking up with his fiance. He also was a complete a-hole to her. Sad.
  15. Hi ladies! I'm a potential Riu RM bride, as my FI and I decided last minute to take a trip next weekend down to scout out the resort. Just wanted to introduce myself:) We're thinking May of 2011. I'll let you know when we get back how it was.
