Starchild said it best. Put the old lady in her place!!!

I agree! Just ignore her! Your wedding not hers. Do it how you want to do it and dont let anyone tell you different. I would also stop asking her for her opinion. The only opinion that matters is yours and your FI.

I don't know, me personally i don't think i would like it. Yes, your vacation. BUT, you are there for me and my wedding! Not because you decided to plan this trip just because. I guess that they want to do it after the wedding is good, but i still don't think i would be pleased. But this is just me giving me honest opinion and i'm not one that loves the attention but you better believe that for my wedding I want it to be ALL ABOUT ME! -

I wanted the fabric of this dress and color. Wanted the shape of TK2854 which is close. And the back of TK 2852 and the train on TK 2860. The dresses are very similar and all Tara Keely (same line). What color would you say that is? They are saying ivory but the ivory i'm seeing from Endenbridal is just a bit darker than white. That's like a champagne/ivory color, too me. It's very pretty.

I've gotten a quote from them for 288 dollars 576 from Duosheng and 186 from Gianinarbridal. Duoshen can only do white. Endenbridal are giving me all kinds of options for fabric and overlays as well as colors. They have been fantatisic to respond to emails. They keep insisting that the look I want is satin with organza overlay and not tafetta. I think I read somewhere on here that tafetta kind of looked a lot like heavy cotton. Do you thing the organza over satin will look right? I'm so confused. Has anyone on here used Endenbridal with success? Are there photos? I've been trying to print this entire thread but my darned computer only prints it a page at a time. Taking me forever. I dont know much about fabrics but i was looking at dresses and came across this one that said it had satin organza so i thought i would share it with you. micweddingdresses.com A line Sweetheart Multi Layer Beading Embroidery Satin Organza Wedding Dress

My dress only cost me $500 and i love it but in all honesty if i had the thousand of dollars to spend on a dress like a lot of the girls on 'Say Yes to the Dress' do, then i know i would have ended up with a different gown and would have spent a lot more money. -

O i for sure will be in touch with my TA and will be telling her that the cut off date for booking is March 14 and anyone who tries to book after that she will kindly have to tell them she can't do it as the hotel had to have final guest list by end of day March 14 (even though they truly don't need it until a month before, but i want to know how many people are going so i know how much my wedding is going to be costing for sure). My wedding my rules. lol

bigboponthebeach - the pic is much better and really like them. Too bad you're not that happy with them, but like i said before, i'm sure your guests will love them. They're really nice!

The Christmas cards thing is a good idea. I even put on my RSVP's at the very bottom that responses not received on or before Feb.14 will kindly be taken as a not able to attend. I just don't want people to try to send RSVP's weeks before the wedding. I need to know my guest count so i can know the final bill of the wedding at least 2 months before and i also noted that no bookings will be accepted after March 14. And if anyone has any problems with these requirements than they don't need to come! HA! Is that too mean?
