  2. Thanks for the info!! I was thinking about doing this too!! But didn't really know the info behind it!
  3. Since yours isn't that far away but you have a discount that expires in Oct I would send it like mid July - beginning of August, that should be enough time for people. I'm sending my invites out in Oct. but those who want to go have to RSVP by Feb. 14.

I'm all for saving money lol

Grand Palladium will be about $1500/person for a week. DT was my initial choice... but I can't help think that it will be almost $1000 more expensive per couple. Its so hard to choose when every resort looks so beautiful. A trip to mexico to do site visits would solve all my problems right now! hehhe if only money weren't an issue! I hear ya we're not doing a site visit to our resort either. And as much as you want to make it affordable for everyone you have to choose the place you love. If you love both of them then go with the cheaper one, if not go with DT. Is there a requirement for your guests to stay at the resort where the wedding is being held at? If not then let them know they are more then welcomed to stay at another hotel of their liking but there will be a fee for a day pass.
  6. For the times you have available i would do 4pm. I am having my ceremony @ 6pm
  7. I will contact a TA to see what they quote and go from there, if the price is fair i will use them and i will put their info in my invitations but i will let my guests know they are welcome to book their stay any way they want, the TA will be there if they don't have time to look around themselves.
  8. Wendyjd, TheFutureMrs.Sears, and Sap thanks soo much! The more i think about my dress the more excited i get!!

She's all the way in Schiller Park (by O'Hare) but she has rave reviews on the knot and all the wedding sites and her prices are great (much better than the bridal salons). Her name is Mary Catomy. If you want her contact info let me know! Awesome! I was gonna go to Nick's in Chicago, he's one of the best my brother was telling me. But I'm open to whatever, i just need the bust and hips taken in a little, the length is perfect. What is her price range?
  10. Congrats!! I'm getting married next door at the Riu Palace!

Thanks!! I love Pronovias too, i think a lot of their dresses have a spanish feel to them, they are beautiful!! I see your in Chicago too. Nice! lol

Thanks!! I love it!! It look me 4 months to find my dress! I probably tried on close to 100 dresses! As far as the resort I don't have pricing for air as that has not come out yet, i just went off pricing for this year as I figured it wouldn't be going up too much in a year from now. And as much as i want it to be affordable for my guests I want to love the resort as it's my wedding! Whoever cant come fine, whoever can great! I'm not letting anyone ruin my day! Hope you find your resort soon!! And dress shopping can be fun! It wasn't so much for me because i felt i had such a hard time finding my dress! And i didn't actually buy my dress at a store, I bought it from someone who purchased it back in Sept and then changed her mind about it. I found it on another forum. So GOOD LUCK!!! I'm sure you'll find the perfect one!
