Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

But I'm not sure where to look, the bridal shops are too formal. I found a great line from Jcrew, but its so expensive! hahaha I feel your pain...both my bestfriend (and I was here MOH) and Mike's brother have already backed out of the wedding. I actually got discouraged for awhile but then realized as long as Mike and I are there who cares now, I am not stressing about things like that anymore. -

Mike got his at Tristian and America which is in the Eaton Centre in Toronto. Its a plain linen pant and an off white button up shirt. It was sooo hard to find off white as we needed that to match my dress. He isnt wearing a tie, they are all going to wear a bright aqua flower on their lapel to match the girls. I think it came to like $175 for their whole outfit...shoes, pants and shirt..no to bad I guess. I wanted him to wear a tie to be a little more formal but I lost that battle...lol -
I looked on the knot website about the tank and they are saying it fits really small and I am deff an XL so I think I am going to have to pass...although I would love to wear it I think it would be way too small.

Here are a few things she told me: You can rent out the gazebo without the DJ for $250, just have to get the sound system set up seperatly (although I'm not sure what that means..). Dinner doesn't start until 6:30, and she said you prob need 2 hrs for it (so renting the gazebo earlier than 8:30 doesn't really work). She also told me that they do not allow outside liquor to be served at the resort, so you cannot set up your own bar at the gazebo (you have to pay $15p/p/hr). The brochures that I had posted about previously came from the resort. My TA contacted them and they offered to send us a bunch. I'll try to scan it in tonight but I"m not sure if the printer is unpacked yet! I wonder what she meant by setting the sound system up yourself...I should ask as we have many capable people..as you pay like $250 more for the damn dj for the night. -
I dont know if you want to upload pics but you can choose that option...if not you click on your emails that you get - 250 free business cards. Then click on select your design..if you want travel pick that (I think its industry), or you can upload your own from an option for a small fee. Hope that helps!

I went to our City Hall and they had long form birth certificate applications there that you fill in. I think it took about a month and costed like $35. Just a note - Beverly must have it at least 2 months in advance from your wedding...I saw that in one of the package details. We are giving ours to our wedding planner/TA and she is going to fax it to her. -

Sorry girls, I went and got some so it must have been in Canada only for some reason...but I am assuming they will be doing it in the US soon. I signed up for their emails so I would know - they didnt advertise this one they only sent out emails to people so I would suggest signing up. -

I haven't a clue as to if they ship to Canada, or how much it would cost if they did. If I remember correctly (I spend far too much time on websites and forget half of what I see and where I see it) I think theknot.com had something similar, just not in the shell design?! mekanabr: Our photographers are charging us $2000 for their top package which includes our engagement session, a 40 page coffee table book, a 8x10 picture for our signature mat/wedding album and both Jamaica, a TTD session, and our AHR a month later. We are giving them the money and they are dividing up the costs accordingly. They have never done a destination wedding but I love the home pictures that they have taken at weddings but they mentioned that they were willing to give us a good deal to boost their portfolio and that they are able to write off a lot of the costs as a business expense. At GBP I read that someone had posted that you could go outside of the contracted vendor for flowers at no cost?? So we can go with someone other than TiaFloral?? They gave me a quote that was $3000 for flowers! I have since found silk bouquets on craigslist that we are going to use; but we are getting the "blissful love" package and that includes some decorations of the gazebo and mine and my FI flowers...anyone know how that works out changing it around?? I hadn't heard from Beverly in a few days...then I got a confusing email from her telling me to send her my date and desired time and she would inform me of the availability...my heart started pounding and I almost wet myself thinking that something had gone wrong....i sent her a clarification email immediately, waited a week, no response...resent the email and finally got a response that everything is still going as planned. She also informed me that once our accomodations are booked, we will need to put a 25% deposit down on the wedding package cost to keep the wedding date secured as planned; she attached the credit card info sheet...I attached it below in case any of you ladies have not received it. Wow! Thats an amazing deal for photography. Do you have their contact or website so I can check them out. -

Thank-you both for getting back to me...sees like I need to talk to him about the price before we book, I felt comfortable paying around $2500 so I almost had a heart attack when it was $1000 more than that. Thought I would also give you girls a heads up that Mappins is having a no tax sale right now, Mike and I went in yesterday and got our rings - no tax event, then we signed up for a Mappins credit card and got an extra 10% off. I am also looking for some help to finish a poem if any of you are good at that kind of thing. This is what we have so far for our sea glass. We are going to print the poem on a card with a piece of sea glass and everyone has it during the ceremony then gives it back and we are going to put it on display in our house with our sand ceremony frame. Just dont know how to word saying hold it in your hand during the ceremony and put your best wishes and thoughts into it then deposit it back in the vase at the end of the ceremony Any help would be AMAZING!! Hold this magical sea glass in your hand and be reminded of the sandy beach, the salty air, the pounding waves, seashells and driftwood, and the blue sky and sea. And be reminded of this special day of Kate & Mike’s wedding. Just like the turbulent tides and the calm seas, their marriage will have its ups and downs, and just like this sea glass, it will become even more beautiful, and it will endure the test of time. -

Hey Ladies, I am in need of some advice. We met with a photographer that we really like but he seems really expensive. He quotes us $3799 + tax for him and his wife to go down (they are both photographers), the wedding day, 2 excursions, album, disc with all prints, and engagement session. Just wondering what you are all paying...is this outragrous as its about 1/2 our budget
