    I confess that I drank way too much at the pool on Saturday & got a really bad sunburn!! You just don't think to reapply after drinking all day!! I also got into a fight with my FI. I was totally my fault, but we are completly fine now!! No more drinking all day at the pool for me anymore!

    Thanks Tanya Marie!! I just added that to my wedding website. I am not budgeting extra for wedding day passes, so this will let them know up front that they will be responsible for it. Hopefully everyone will be staying at our resort!

    You should check out Moon Palace. With that many people coming, you would qualify for unlimited private functions. I am 99% sure that is where I will be getting married!!

    Thanks for the great review! This is one of the resorts I am considering. Unfortunately I cannot see the pics becuase I am at work & they have it blocked, but I cannot wait to get home to see them! Congrats!

    Welcome!! I got engaged a few months ago and still haven't decided on the location, but we always knew we wanted a DW. Finding the resort is the hardest part, but after that everything else should be a breeze! Look at the DR thread & read wedding reviews. It should help you narrow down some resorts. Good luck!

    I attended a wedding at MP & there were only 12 of us. She didn't do a private reception, but we had dinner at the Brazilian restaurant out on the terrace & we were the only ones out there, so it was private!

    I'm getting married in 2011. It does seems like forever away but so close! I signed up to this site to get info & ideas for our wedding. We haven't decided on a place yet! But this site have been very helpful! Congrats & good luck with all your planning!

    Welcome & congrats!! The beginning planning stages have been so stressful for me. Just remember that this is YOUR & YOUR FIANCE'S wedding & you can't please everyone. You don't want to look back & regret any decision you made for someone else. Good luck!

    I personally haven't been there, but a friend of mine stayed at Dreams PC & she said she didn't feel safe. They had men w/machine guns on the beach to prevent uninvited guests into the resort. Dominican Republic

    HAHAHA...that was exactly my impression of Sandles/Beaches resorts. Glad to hear that is not the case. Beaches T&C looks beautiful!!

    Welcome & congrats! I went to a wedding at MP last summer & it was really nice. It was a really small wedding though, so she didn't do the private reception. We had dinner on the terrace at the Brazilian restaurant (I don't remember the name) & it was good. If you are planning on having a larger group they offer free functions (cocktail party/reception), if you book a certain number of rooms/room nights! MP is beautiful & everyone there was so nice.     Welcome & congrats!!! Finding the location has been the hardest part for me! It is so overwhelming, but I think once I find the "perfect" resort everything else will fall into place! Happy planning!!
