  8. Iberostar Brides: I came across a wonderful candle company the other day. I've been looking for travel candles to include in my OOT bags, and found the Travel Tin Company. I ordered three 6 oz tins on Thursday and they were on my front step this morning!! Oh, and they offer a 40% discount per order of 50 candles or more and they have flat rate shipping of $4.99. Let me get to the most imporant part, the scents! OMG I ordered Caribbean Colada, Ocean & Jamaica Me Crazy! They all smelled WONDERFUL, but let me just tell you the Caribbean Colado is OFF THE FREAKING HOOK! I will be placing my order. If interested in ordering. You can email Nachelle Wallace @ [email protected]. The website address is www.traveltins.com. Check it out! Yolanda PS: Before I forget, the 6 oz travel tins are $7.99, but if you order more than 50, the price drops to $4.79 per tin! Think about it.
  9. Brides to Be, Just had to share a GREAT candle company I found on line last week. I've been on the hunt for good quality travel candles, you know the ones in the metal tins to put in the OOT bags. And all I can say is JACKPOT!! "The Travel Tin Company" is GREAT, CHECK IT OUT! I placed my order Thursday, and it's was on my door this morning! But here's the kicker. I inquired about ordering in bulk...and if you orde 50 candles or more, they offer a 40% discount off of list price. Since they don't offer sample sizes to try out, I had to order their regular 6 oz tins which cost $7.99. They have a bunch of scents, however I narrowed it down to Caribbean Coloda, Jamaica Me Crazy and Ocean. Oh, and they gave me a free Sandalwood candle . All of the scents smelled INCREDIBLE...but ladies..the Caribbean Coloda....IS THE BOMB! I'm definitely placing an order of at least 50 (which brings my cost down to $4.79 per candle) If you're curious about the measurement the 6 oz is approximately 2-7/8"wide x 1-3/4" tall. They have flat rate shipping of $4.99. Oh, and for an extra $1 per tin, they'll place a personalized label on the bottom of the tin. (I'm not doing that) 1-866-757-6642 or [email protected] (Nachelle is the representative that answers email inquiries) http://www.traveltins.com

  12. The Grand WC told me they didnt have a roller. So i'm reaching out to a friend who has a relative who works for the Jamaican Tourist board. If it a no go, I'll just buy cigars or ask the hotel staff where to get affordable one! I'll keep you posted on what I find out. -Yolanda
  13. Hey bToiinlove: Im getting married at the Grand and since they have a cigar bar, I just assumed that they would have a person that I could hire to roll cigars! Well, the WC informed me a couple of weeks ago that they don't and don't know where to find one! Which is insane...ITS JAMAICA...there's nobody that can roll? REALLY Anyway, that's the one thing that my fiance asked for...so one of my really good friends has a relative that works for the Jamaican tourist board who is looking into finding someone for me. If Not, I'll guess we'll have to purchase cigars from the bar too. I'll share whatever I find out on the roller. Let me know what you find out about the cigars at the resort! Thanks, Yolanda
  14. I'm getting married 10/22/11 at the Grand! Let the countdown begin. Ladies..can you give me recommendations for a florist? I wrote to Godfreyguy two weeks ago and he has NOT even returned my email! HELP

  16. Evening Ladies, Have a couple questions and I'm really hoping one of y'all has the answers. 1) Did you or any of your guest plan or used calling cards or rented a cell phone while in Jamaica? 2) For the Grand Brides- is there a required dress code for the restaurants? I thought I read somewhere that men are required to wear collared shirts and shoes for dinner. 3) How much time are you allotting for pictures between the ceremony and the reception? 4) What did you do or doing for music at the reception? I'm trying to decide on a DJ or a band, any recs would be appreciated! 5) Did you op for an open bar at your reception? 6) DO you think it's okay to have the guest go to the lobby bar for the cocktail hour? Anyone know how many people the Grand lobby bar can accommodate? Thank you in advance for the assistance!
  17. Okay Im back from being a Bridezilla! Ladies- for those of you that are going with one of the gala selections for your reception meal, were you able to substitute items? Same questions for the ladies who are choosing the buffet. For those who had a bonfire, could you tell me what you did for food? Thanks,
  18. I feel like Iberostar is taking TOTAL advantage of the situation. I for one am so aggravated with the LACK of customer service! It totally blows! Im cool with island time...but weeks for someone to get back to you and then ALL the extras! It's insanse. I think if I could do it all over again, I would have just stayed home and had my wedding.
  19. Hey DeAngelis! Did Godfrey send you any pictures?
