I think it's cheaper because you already got your transfer. Oh and these are for the Ocean View Rooms, the Garden Views were a little cheaper. I think it's a great deal! Especially when you see rates of 400-600/night/couple at other resorts. Yay! This makes me feel so much better! I was hoping it would be around that. Did you use a TA or go directly through the resort? Fingers crossed when we get ours back its about the same. Thanks for the info!
  5. View of the Pergola from the beach Pergola being set up for a wedding. I think we figured out there were about 130 chairs here. View of the Pergola from the festival terrace. Festival Terrace View of Festival Terrace from beach. Yellow Room (Which is no longer yellow and is now called the bamboo room.) Blue Beach Bar Fountain Lobby

Amie Feb 11, 2011 Bride We are still debating with this. The Blue Beach Bar is really nice. How many people are you having? We are thinking of having cocktails there but dinner somewhere else. The Festival Terrace, Yellow room (which is no longer yellow) and the Pergola are all in the same area. The Blue Beach Bar is just down a level from the Pergola. I have pic's I will post when my fiance gets home with the camera.

After searching I found that I was getting a MUCH better deal thru my TA then thru booking at the hotel. Lisadias- Give me your email and I will send you all the pictures that I have. Can I ask what your group rate per night was? We are waiting to hear back from our TA but I'm so anxious! We visited the resort and LOVED it but everything is kind of riding on the group rate.

I have a lot of info on Azul but can not find any photos of weddings at Jade. Does anyone have anything they could share? Also, any feedback on either resort would be welcome. Thanks much! So I actually just got back from visiting both resorts this weekend. We stayed at NOW Jade and only visited the Azul Sensatori. I have to say that NOW Jade was our favorite. Azul was nice but more crowded and the service did not seem as good (keep in mind we were only there to tour the resort and ate at one of the restaurants) also my fiance kept making comments that no one there was smiling. LOL NOW Jade was very open and had beautiful grounds. Azul looked to have a nicer beach. The food was about the same at each. NOW Jade had AMAZING service, everyone was soooo nice and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. When we arrived we were upgraded to the preferred club which was very nice. We felt VIP all weekend Overall I am very glad that we looked at both but I am extremely confidant in our decision to have our wedding at NOW Jade. Now we just have to wait a year I hope this helps!

  11. Hi Ladies - The resort we were planning on getting married at has just been sold and we will no longer be able to get married there due to the construction that will be going on. I am soooo disappointed. I found NOW JADE and am considering it for the new location. I would really appreciate if anyone could send me any information/pictures you have received. Thanks!!

The web site says $48 per person for dinner, $26 per person for the cocktail hour, and I have read on this site that it is $60 for each additional person. Also, is there a price difference between the buffet and the sit-down dinner? Finally, can anyone confirm that we can substitute the cocktail hour for an additional 10 guests? I read that somewhere but I don't know if it was for DRC. Less than 4 months to go and it is still taking over a month to get replies from Ana. Starting to feel very stressed... The $60.00 is with tax. Here is a line from an e-mail I receieved from Yazmin "the charge per guest is $ 26 usd + 11% taxes + 15% service for cocktail and $48 usd 11% taxes + 15% service per person for dinner." I don't believe there is a price difference for buffet v.s. sit down but I can't say for sure. I was told by Yazmin you CAN substitue the cocktail hour for additional guest. Hope this helps, best of luck!

I believe our actual cost will be around $2000 per couple. That is for a garden view room. I highly suggest using a travel agent. My best friend is a TA, so I am fortunate in that regard. She is booking trips for a couple other girls from this site as well. If you would like her info, PM me and I will put you in touch. I have been astonished at the prices some are paying, but I am assuming they are going during peak season and are perhaps flying from more expensive locations. We are flying out of St Louis on a charter flight. But I have some guests flying out of other airports on commercial flights, and their costs were a little higher due to their airfare. Good luck! Thanks for the info!

I think that was introductory pricing since the resort had just opened when we started putting down deposits; I know the rates have gone up since though, and that guests now booking into our group will hopefully get a good price, but it won't be that good! We are using a local TA but she deals with a U.S. based supplier called Travel Impressions. Hope this helps! Our wedding is June 16th 2011. The group rate we got was outrageous! Our TA said she is going to start negotiating the rate with the resort. I thought it would help to get specifics from other brides to move the process along. Fingers crossed it goes down. Thanks so much for the info!!

  16. Hi ladies - I need your help!! I got a really high quote back for our group rates. I just wanted to know what everyone elses quotes per person have been, does it include airfare, how many people are in your group, and what the dates are. If we can't talk the rate down I'm afraid we aren't going to be able to get married here and we have already put our deposit down. Thanks!
  17. If you are using a TA - How long did it take you to hear back about your group rate? Thanks!

We are 32 and most of the people going are around our age or even younger. They're a pretty roudy and fun group! That is a great idea for the Save the Dates! We are probably going to send ours out around the same time. We sent in our deposit and are just waiting for our contract. I'm 25 and my Fiance is 28...It should be an interesting week for the resort considering our group is pretty fun/rowdy too!

The cake table and escort card table will be pink tablecloths. That's my vision at least I was wondering if you are using the resort for the chaivari chairs. Yazmin just quoted me for the chairs but I didn't get a clear answer on whether or not you had to use their vendor.

How many people are going in your group? brooke That is a great rate! I am excited to hear back from our TA. We are probably going to have about 50 people but I honestly have no clue yet. Our guest list is over 100. We both have large families! How is your planning going? Trying to decide when to send out our Save the dates, have you guys done that yet? - Ashley
