  1. Today is my Friday! Only 3.5 hours to go and then 2 glorious days off!

We just bought fi's suit from tip top tailors. It's a tan Calvin Klein and on sale! Also La Chareau has some nice summery mens stuff. Good luck!
  3. 1 1/2 years apart. I'm 26 he will be 28 in December
  4. Your Love is A Song by Switchfoot. I love this song and it ha more of a rock style to it which suits my fiancé better than a sappy love song.
  5. Quote:Originally Posted by BrideMichele I am wearing hanging pearl earrings and bracelet for my wedding. IMHO, they show up in pictures much better than crystals. Good point! I'm planning on a medium sized birdcage veil (covers just top half of my face). I'm trying to decide between pearl stud earrings and a necklace or hanging pearl earrings without a necklace. What do you guys think?
  6. Quote:Originally Posted by akua420 A kids bag would be fun to make! I don't have any kids coming, unfortunately beacuse I've seen some really cute kids beach things but its all adults. Maybe you can even get a little kids themed tote, a small one and do little ones to give to them! How many kids are going? I'm not sure how many kids yet since we don't have final numbers. But now is the time to find kid beach toys and stuff so I might just be stocking up on goggles and things from the dollar store. Little kids are easy but it's the 10-13 year olds that are tough. My cousin is a junior bridesmaid (she's 12) so I want to do something special for her but I'm not sure what.
  7. I bought a TTD dress from le chateau for $20 lol. Not what I would want to walk down the aisle in, but if I'm rolling around in the sand It will work. It's long, and white, see through satin. eek! Might need to get a slip or liner sewn into it. That's a great idea to do the TTD the day of your hair trial (if you aren't wearing the dress later on). I'm still torn about changing for the reception. If I do it will definitely be into another white dress. At my friends DW she just changed into a random sun dress and didn't look like I bride at all anymore. I wanna be treated like a bride as long as possible lol.

I read about them in another post somewhere on here, but I think they were much cheaper than tai. Try searching for a tai floral thread that might be where I saw it. If I find it I'll post it cuz I think there was more than one vendor in that area. Also I know their are tons of sellers on etsy that make real touch bouquets and bouts. I saw a cute idea for a bout that was peacock feathers (depends on your wedding colours I guess). I also thought the starfish bouts were cute.
  9. Btw akua I see you have hit 150 posts. Congrats on not being a noob anymore

I'll definitely be looking into Couples San Souci now! Thanks! And same in our group - some people planning on staying 2 weeks and private time will definitely be needed so we want a couples only resort.
  11. Now that everything is figured out (for now) maybe I should change the name to "I'm mildly frustrated by my TA" lol
  12. So she just emailed me back this morning and agreed to extend to January 5th. Whew I'm so relieved! Akua where are you staying for your honeymoon? We are thinking of staying an extra week too, but haven't decided where yet.
  13. Quote:Originally Posted by akua420 I'll have to keep checking them out, Iwent by yesterday and it was $22 a meter! Ridiculous! BUt I got cheap towels at Giant Tiger and used that to create my first one, then I"ll use a better quality on the next one once I know it doesn't look like crap. But good idea, I"ll have to keep checking it out! Beach pillows sounds so cute! What shape? Is it for the wedding or just for regular use?  And I'm giving it out per couple, except for our two guy friends that are sharing a room, they're both going to get one. But in the couples ones, some items I'll give more so they can both use it sort of deal.  Also great idea for the bug spray I came up with. At Mountain Equipment Co-Op I know they have it for sure, but they have Watkins insect repellant lotion, and it apparnatly works great. They have a 240ml bottle for $14, so what I'm thinking of doing is getting a bunch of small 60ml bottles from the dollarstore or walmart or something and filling them up that way, mght be cheaper then the wipes with shipping, but we will see.  The lotion sounds like a good idea! I'll have to check that out too. I'm also doing one bag per couple and one each for non couple, roomies. I'm still debating doing a small kids bag or just throwing their stuff in the main bag.

My mom just went to Mexico and there was a bride on the plane and the flight attendant put it in the very front area and hung it up so it didn't get wrinkled. Thats my plan, I hopefully won't have to do anythign whe nI'm down. The nice thing abuot the material in the dress though is its gathered, and you can't really see the wrinkles when its on, thank goodness. That would be awesome if they let you store it up front. In our travel package it just says Bride and Groom get priority seating on the plane so they can store dress/tux in overhead compartment. Hopefully I can find something better than cramming it up there.
  15. Thanks for the information JMarie! That's awesome. I can't see the pics yet but maybe once I get enough posts? I like the idea of the piano bar too - way cheaper. And I'm glad to hear everyone loved the food at Dolce Vita.
