Hey ladies, Thanks for all of the reviews...and WOW I totally want to do this as well. I'm SOLD!! I only have one question though, what happens if it starts to rain? Or what if it's raining all day on your wedding day? Do they accept cancellations? Or would my guests just be stuck on the lower deck the entire night?

Hey jrod07, Did you ever find out what the "basic setup" includes for the wet/parrot bars? I'm also curious to find this out? Thanks for clarifying on the flat rate @ $500/hr for these bars as well. This option makes much better sense to me now.

Hey ladies, I noticed in the list above that there is the option to have your "Reception at La Barcaza Boat" although information is only supplied upon request. If any of you have any info on what this includes, how much it would cost in 2011 and what exactly IS the Barcaza Boat??? Is it a restaurant? I think I saw a pic of it, but not sure, that would be greatly appreciated!! Also, I can't seem to make up my mind on whether to have the reception dinner at the Steakhouse, like some of you are doing, or having a Private reception dinner at the Parrot Bar. The prices seem ridiculous to rent the place, pay for the meal per person and pay by the hour for booze and sound system. I'm leaning towards having the dinner at the Steakhouse and then having a private reception at the Parrot Bar. I think keeping them seperate will save on costs, does this make sense to you girls? Need some HELP!!!!

Kelly, Your pictures are gorgeous ~ can't even tell you were about to be sick! I'm so sorry to hear that your day didn't go as planned. We spend a year going over every detail and put such high expectations on ourselves. Sometimes we almost forget why we are doing this...which is to celebrate the unity between husband & wife and take that next step in life. You may not have had a dinner or reception, but you have the most important part to cherish...which is your ceremony where you exchanged vows with your one and only! Hold on to that!! And I hope your AHR kicked @ss and ended up being BETTER than a dinner & reception down south.

Wow, glad to see I am not the ONLY girl out there without a RING!! Thanks for this post. It made me feel much better about planning a DW without a ring! We've been together almost 4 years and just bought a house 1.5yrs ago and got right into some major renos. So I can understand the delay in getting the ring....I know it will come soon. We at least went ring shopping and picked out the most amazing ring. Who knows maybe I'll get it for Xmas or New Years!! Keeping my fingers crossed. The funniest thing about all of this is that men get to take days, weeks, months even YEARS to make this decision to propose to us, and yet we only have a moment to answer them YES! I think our responses should be "Hold on a second, I think I may need 4 YEARS to think about this"...LOL. You ladies ROCK!!

So we finally booked with MC ~ on Oct. 19th, 2011 @ 5PM. Let the planning begin!!!! Yip-Yow!!!

Hey Amanda, I hear your frustration. I wanted to get married last winter but put it off because too many friends were pregnant, planning to get pregnant or couldn't attend due to finances. This year, I have changed my mentality. I am getting married for ME and my FI only. I'm happy if it's just the two of us...or if the whole family shows up. Either way, it's just the two of us, on a beach, saying our vows and taking each moment in and making the best of it. Don't fret on ppl who can or can't make it. People change their minds all the time! The girls are right, those you think won't make it--will, and those you hope make it--won't, lol! Just remember that this day is for YOU and your FI!! That's what counts the most! ♥

Hey ladies, OK now I am confused because my 2 top choices are ME or Dreams Palm Beach. I am in LOVE with both of these resorts. I know that FI and I want a private reception and we are willing to pay the extra cost to get it at ME, but Dreams is such a gorgeous place too. @IslandBride 8: Can you tell me why you chose ME over Dreams, aside from what you've already mentioned above. @Aumuller: Can you tell me why you chose Dreams? We are planning our wedding in DR next Fall either Oct/Nov 2011. Can't wait to read your review of the resort too. Have fun, enjoy every moment and relax on your wedding day. . .

Thanks for the info ladies!! This is one of the resort I was also considering myself. I just fell in love with the wedding packages (i.e Aqua, Fantasy, Wish) but if it's going to be a hassle to deal with them then maybe I should focus on another resort. I'll keep this resort in my top list, but maybe as #3 LOL
