That's crazy that you would have to pay $60 to organize a wire transfer to Mayte. I agree that you should definitely NOT pay the $30 on their end - especially if you paid it already on your end. I noticed that the info goes to a Florida address too! Very weird. I wonder if Mayte would accept a money order instead. I just wish we had more options than this!!

It really does suck that the only way we can pay her is via wire transfer. I wish there was another way . . . we are about to pay our deposit as well. Did you just walk into your bank with the banking details Mayte gave you to do the wire transfer?

Hey Ladies, In case any of you are wondering what the ceremony & reception decorations include, please see Mayte's response below from an email I received from her: As for decorations, what does the ceremony decorations include? What color options do you have for tulles/flowers/chair sashes, etc? Bamboo tent in wedding colors, decoration tent, cahirs cover cahirs and sashes in wedding colors, ceremony table and centerpieces, carpet for the aisle, decoration aisle, tikki torches with decorations, lounge area on the beach, with white sofas, pillow and tikki torches. Linen, napkin and sashes in wedding colors, chirs and cover chairs, decorations napkin, menu cards, names cards, centerpieces, decorations, candles, tables cake, wellcome table, longe inside for dance floor, decoration entrance and restaurant area. You have a lots of pictures in Jellyfish Fa ce book. I also asked how much it would cost to rent only the downstairs part of the restaurant instead of having the exclusive use of the restaurant for $1000, she said it was $500 instead. Hey Ladies, Just thought I'd share this news...a co-worker from my work was scheduled to stay at the Majestic Elegance from Feb 10-Feb 16 and was informed by her TA that the hotel was quarantined for the next couple of days due to ppl getting sick from the food. She was transferred to the Paradisus resort instead.

Hi Giselle, The JellyFish restaurant does provide transportation by bus for the cost of $5US per person. They have a seperate transportation that will pick up the Bride and her bridesmaids as well.

Hope this helps! - Catholic churches/ priest to contact? > Mayte will contact a priest or judge for you. - Is there a complimentary cocktail hour offered at the jellyfish? If so, what did it include? I've read this somewhere just want to confirm. > Yes, after the reception the restaurant will serve 1-2 complimentary cocktails (your signature drink that you will create the day you meet with Mayte before the wedding). - I know i've also read that 10% down is needed to secure the date, do you know how this can be processed? < You can pay by PayPal or an american bank I believe. Paypal is the most secure way. - is the dinner served like a sit-down dinner? or is it buffet-style? < You can have either option. < Mayte can accommodate for both sit-downs or buffets. - do they have a projector that i can show a picture slideshow or a video during the dinner? < Not sure about this one. I have yet to ask her this question.

Hey Jen, Yes, please send me pics of your resort! I heard that Ocean Blue & Sand is super nice. A colleague from my work just went there. We are now considering resorts that are closer to the restaurant since our ceremony and reception will be at the JellyFish, it really doesn't matter where we stay as long as it's a 5 star or even a 41/2 star. Colonial and Elegance do charge for kids, and it's rather pricey compared to other resorts. If you are bringing kids for sure, I would suggest you look elsewhere - even my TA said they were really pricey for kids! So we are looking into other resorts right now. But I still have the Colonial tentatively booked.

Hey MBBride, Welcome back....and congrats on your wedding!!! Thanks for the heads up! So would you say the food is better, worse or the same as typical resort food? And do you have pictures?? I would love to see pictures if you have any yet. Hope it was everything you dreamed it would be - aside from what you mentioned below - it sounds like you had a fab time.

I guess I'm the only bride-to-be on the opposite side of the fence here... I told my FI all he has to do is SHOW UP!! LOL And that I would plan the rest. In all honesty though, I know my guy will want to pick his suit and what the GMs will wear and definitely have a say in food and music. That's all men care about, not the flowers, colors of the wedding, invitations, etc. This stuff is for us girls to enjoy! Don't sweat the small stuff - Hugs!!
