Hi everyone, I just posted my review of my MP wedding in the Reviews thread.

The issue with the golf (I think - my husband took care of this aspect) is that they were now saying that rental fees for clubs, etc was not eligible and that there was a cap of $300 per room that you could use towards golf. Again, my hubby fought this rule change and they conceded. Regarding our photographer - we used La Luna. Both La Luna and Del Sol (same owner) have a written agreement from Palace Resorts saying they are an approved outside vendor (ie an exception to their rule). So the resort was aware we were using them, and we bought day passes. In the end, we never had an issue with getting charged for the videographer (vs using the credits), but this could be because we booked before March 1st (last year, in fact). If they had tried to charge us, we simply wouldn't have done it.

I only saw this thread just now! I got married at mp on apr 8, and this is the first I have heard of this. We used an outside photographer but used the mp videographer ONLY because we could use points. I do have emails to this effect, and will fight charges on my credit card if a $500 charge shoes up. The problem we DID run into was with golf. Same type of story - they changed the rules, and limited the number of points you could use, and what you could use them for. My now hubby's fought the changes and they agreed to stick with the original rules

I saw one of the webcasts too, but don't know if the videography is the same - apparently they do some editing with the videography. Who knows?

I haven't but I'd be interested in seeing one as well.

My diet strategy has been to eat well during the week and be somewhat more relaxed during the weekend. It is more sustainable for me, but it does mean that the weight comes off more slowly. I am only 1.5 lbs to my goal with 5 weeks before we leave.

I need to follow up on the outstanding RSVPs this weekend, plus we might be making an offer on a house on Monday (ahhh).
