  1. Congrats, looks like you wedding is approaching fast!
  2. (Maybe this topic has been covered and I can't find it, so if so please post the thread link.) Is it rude to ask people to let me know ahead of time if they are positive they will NOT be going? I was thinking about posting something like this question on my website, but I'm hesitant to do so. I really want to get an idea of the head count early so I know what I'm in for cost wise for the reception. I'm honestly hoping for a small head count so we can do a more intimate dinner reception that will cost less. Also at what time frame did you send out your invites? I sent the STD's at 6 months, plan on sending the invites at 4 months, and plan on asking guest to RSVP 2 months prior. Is that enough time to plan? How did you do it?
  3. Welcome and have fun planning!
  4. I'm on the fence with this as well. But it makes sense that it might be nice for the people that cannot attend the wedding.
  5. Thank you for sharing, I need a shirt for my LO, and thats what I was thinking about getting.
  6. Hi All! Ok I'm officially a loner here I think, I've searched the thread and don't see anyone getting married in Hawaii in November like me. But I can't wait to read through and see what stage you're all at in your planning. I feel like I'm really behind with only 6 months left! I have the ceremony package booked, the dress purchased yesterday, and the STD cards will go out tomorrow. Yikes whats next!?
  7. Oh I already had him, he was born on 11/3/2009. We'll actually be celebrating his 1st Birthday in Maui a few days before we wed!
  8. Sorry I guess the title doesn't make sense...what I meant to say is "What company did you use to book your travel..."
  9. I'm finally getting everything set and the next step will be to book our travel. I know that traveling to Hawaii can sometimes be pricey, so I am doing my best researching like mad for my guest to get the best price. Where did you book your travel? Please do share. Did you buy online or use a travel agent? So far the best price I've found for a multi-island trip (Maui then to Oahu) is through Costco or Pleasant Holidays. But my guest won't need a multi island package so there's will obviously cost less. Thank You! Amanda
  10. Welcome and happy planning!
  11. Congrats and welcome to the forum. I'll be getting married in Maui, but we didn't have the guts to elope. There are a ton of inexpensive services in Hawaii to get married. The Hawaii thread is very helpful! Happy planning!

  16. Welcome! This site is very helpful, you'll have no problem planning!
  17. Thanks for posting this question! The maui board doesn't seem to be too active so this is very helpful!
  18. This is great! FI and I were talking about this last night because I mentioned since we didn't think we wanted to register (because of guest travel cost) we should have them donate in our name. He didn't really like that idea so this seems like a happy medium!
  19. Ordered my dress today and I love it! The drop waist couldn't be more flattering for my curves
