  1. Everytime I do a search for Brunch on Maui, the Grand Wailea comes up and has great reviews...although I have no idea how much it is.
  2. I may be looking too deep into this but I'm concerened about my favors! I bought lottery scratchers as my wedding favors and was hoping to have them at the place setting of each guest. But then I realized there is no lottery or gambling in HI. I'm starting to think they'll be confiscated at the airport if found, or worse arrested for gambling! They're California lottery scrathers . Am I freaking out for no reason or does anyone know if this is allowed?
  3. This is great! I've already found helpful info on it!
  4. I just came across this availability list on Maui Floral, thought it might help you if its not too late! http://www.mauifloral.com/index.lasso?-Token.IDNUM=9&-Token.PAGE=AVAILABILITY&-Token.CAT=Leis&-Nothing
  5. This is awesome, thank you so much for sharing! I almost started jumping up and down when I read your last comment about the leis. I was calling around TODAY and the cheapest I could find was $9.99 each! Do you have a link to Maui Floral you can provide. If not I'll just call the costco and try to get details. Thank you SO much!
  6. lzbthlr: Your wedding is 11/2? How's your planning coming along? Getting close!
  7. I booked Karine at Bridal Hair on Maui, http://www.bridalhaironmaui.com/. I'm only getting my hair done though and doing my own makeup. Not sure what your budget is on this, but I thought her prices were reasonable. I'm used to paying a ton for my hair because its long and thick, I don't think I've paid under $120 since high school for any kind of hair service.
  8. I can't figure out how to go back and edit my post to add the template I forgot to add so if you want it PM me....or tell me how to go back and edit
  9. I finished my luggage tags the other night, one for each guest. And today finished the pre-travel brochure to go along with them. I'm so excited to send these out! I'm at work and don't have a picture of the luggage tag but will post those tomorrow hopefully.  I did the brochures in Publisher = super easy! And our destination is Hawaii so I didn't need to include tons of info like international stuff so these were really easy to whip up really quick! I am beyond stocked I can check this off the to-do list!!!  I've attached the template if anyone wants it and here's the brochures:  Outside page  Inside page
  10. I wish I would've found this site when I first started planning! It has a lot of info with great pictures to reference! I'm on the less then 2 month count down now! Â Maui Weddings online magazine
  11. Are you working with a coordinator? I'm sure they could tell you what's available if your flowers are included in your package. I just emailed my coordinator about 10 different bouquet pictures and out of all of them she said the florist could do any of them! So maybe availability over there is good.
  12. I just looked at my running budget again and with everything i've purchased so far, coordination fees, travel cost, etc etc and reception dinner estimate for 30 people so far my grand total is $6800. I know that will go up closer to my event I'm sure because I still have to buy gifts and favors and a few other things but my ultimate goal was to stay under $8000. So far I might hit that goal yay! Â
  13. lisadias: I really like the center piece with the green mat underneath, I think it gives a good contrast to the blue candel.  I googled this color scheme and came across some inspiration pics.  Here's the perfect matching garter on Etsy! I'm actually think of getting this  And here's some pics. Â
  14. I'm late to post this, but hopefully it can help! Â Have you booked your travel yet? Alaska Air was having a sale to Maui! They might still be having it, I see you are in Alameda, I did a bunch of research for my SIL leaving out of the Oakland airport and the prices were like $149 one way...but that sale might be over. Â I'm also using Deanne, and she's been great! I did a lot of research and her prices I thought were the most competitive for what you get. And I'm pretty sure you can ask for a CD of your prints from your photographer for a little extra cost. I heard like $120 for all the pics? Â We are having our reception dinner at Leilani's on the Beach for about 35 people and the event planner there Kako has been sooooo helpful too. They are very accomodating, not charging for any extras and their menu prices for large partys are very competitive! Its a more casual environment though, not sure what you're looking for. Â And I also know people in our party have booked at www.vrbo.com for much cheaper then other places. I also think the Wailea or Kihie area is a lot cheaper to stay then Lahaina. Â All in all, including our travel, attire, and EVERYTHING else we're only going to end up spending about $7000.
  15. These are my 2 inspiration boquets, and I'm having a really hard time deciding between the two. My colors are lime green and turquoise so I love the idea of the green orchids!
  16. Glad I could provide a little bit of inspiration. Wedding is in Maui, on 11/6, and the planning is going pretty good so far. All the big stuff is planned/booked, I just have a lot of little and random things to do like favors/OOT bags, FI's suit hemmed, buy the rings, parents gifts....lots of stuff like that! Â How about you? I see you have a ways to go with plenty of time plan!
  17. Here is my inspiration picture. We don't need anything too big so I thought this was perfect. But FI would rather have cupcakes, so at this point I'm undecided what to do! My colors are lime green and turquoise so I was thinking I can request the ribbon be turquoise to mix it up a bit.
  18. Not sure which hues you're looking for but my colors are turquoise and lime green, with black and white for accents. But I've found myself using the lime green the most! I don't have a lot planned yet but here are a few pics of inpirations with the flowers I'll be using which are green. Â
  19. I like them both but #2 more, and it goes well with the MOH boquet you picked.
  20. Thanks for sharing! Words like that totally put me at ease over the whole planning stuff!
