I didn't have a formal reception at the Wyndham, but had Monica setup a reservation for 14 people at the Manor House because Baci was closed on Sundays. We also got married during the off season, so the Baci restaurant was closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. None of the restaurants have a private room because I tried that as well. If you are going to have your reception at the Wyndham, you would need to rent out one of their private areas. We saw several reception in the private rooms with DJ's and dancing. Check with Monica and she can let you know those details.

You have to pay an extra $550 for the terrace. We had 14 people at our wedding, but the terrace can fit many, many more than that. The Wyndham has vendors they use for their wedding packages. We used the photograph that the Wyndham provided. If you go to www.sugarbayweddings.com under the links section are all vendors they work with. My pictures and video were absolutely amazing. There was nothing I wanted to change about our wedding, it was just perfect for us. You will have an amazing wedding there.

I got married at the Wyndham 6 months ago on the St. John's Terrace, which was absolutely beautiful. There are 3 different sites at the Wyndham you can get married at, the garden, the beach, or the St. John's Terrace. You can have your reception either at the resort or anywhere on the island. I think if you are going to have it Havana Blue, you will have to use Havana Blue's planner for the reception. I worked with Monica at the Wyndham to get everything setup for the wedding ceremony, but we didn't have a reception so I don't know if she would be able to set up anything off the Wyndham property.

The best way I found to get a hold of Monica on the phone, was just to keep calling until she answered. I had left a message, but she didn't return it. I have had the best communication with her by email. When we did talk by phone she was extremely helpful and we got the little details figured out. She is also going to make the reservation at the Baci restaurant for 19 people.

We are only going planning on having about 10 to 12 people come for our wedding, which according to all the stuff I have seen you have to have 20 or more people to do any of the catering. I have an email in to Monica to see if we can just get a private room at one of the restaurants since we are going to be having so few people. That was another reason we liked it as well for the all inclusive deal and everyone is going to be staying at the hotel, so we thought it would just be easier and nicer to have a reservation at one the restaurants instead of doing the catering. The cost would be lot easier on us as well. I will let you know what Monica tells me.

The cost of the terrace is an extra $500 or $550. I am getting married at the Wyndham on the terrace on October 10th. I have been dealing with Monica on my arrangements and it has been a blast. Our total ceremony cost is going to be just under $5000 with taxes and everything. We also have to pay extra for the Sunday wedding. We also chose to do the ultimate wedding package since we wanted a DVD and everything it was just more cost effective.
