Hi! My fiance and I are also getting married in 2011 (the spring though) and are searching for resorts in either Mexico or the Caribbean. It is a bit overwhelming! A friend of mine recently attended a wedding at Barcelo Maya Beach, and he said it was great. They loved the all inclusive pricing, and said the resort was very laid back and fun. What he liked was that Maya Beach felt like it was a small resort, yet they had the option of using the facilities at the other Barcelo locations. Hope this helps! Congrats! I am new to BDW as well, and am looking for a boutique hotel for my wedding next spring. If Jamaica is a possibility, you should check out Rockhouse. My fiance and I attended a family member's wedding there last July and had the BEST time. The rooms were very affordable, the food was good, and the staff was very attentive. Best of luck!

Hi! After my fiance and I attended a family member's wedding at Rockhouse in Jamaica (AWESOME destination wedding venue), we decided we wanted a destination wedding. We are looking for a boutique hotel in Mexico or the Caribbean for about 60 guests, and plan on having the wedding next April or May 2011. For various reasons, we have crossed Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic off our list. Any suggestions/tips would be GREAT! Many Thanks!!!
