I'm having one, but its going to be in my parents back yard, so that made it easy. I'm having my wedding in Feb and my reception in July. Did you think about looking at maybe spruuce grove, or places just outside of Edmonton? My girlfriend is getting married in May and got the hall for the entire weekend, I'll ask her what the price is and where its at.

I'm going to use the hotel photographer, the quote I got from Sungold was over $1000, NOT worth it for me because I only want a few prints. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the one who had the guy show up half way had a professional one as well, where as if they know that they are the main one, they will show up on time. And you can haggle with the prices. And if the resort photographer is going to be your main one, you can schedule him to take the getting ready pictures, or a few pictures before the wedding, you just have to tell them what exactly you want. Spending $2500 for pictures is cringe worthy to me, there is NO WAY I could throw away that much money on 3 pictures. I'm not a scrapbooker, I'm not going to have albums full of pictures, I want a few nice shots. I'm only going to get one printed for the house, and send the same one with my canadian invites. Plus my dad is buying a super expensive camera, so I'm sure he's going to take TONS, hahaha.

I just emailed Beverly back again and said that numerous brides have said there is still a free package and asked for details. Also I emailed the spa about a hair appointment, and its already booked the entire day, so I don't have anywhere to get my hair done. And the package states that hair is included in it. So yeah, I don't know what I am going to do now. I can't do hair, I suck at it. Great, now I'll have crap hair for the wedding. I'm trying not to be stressed, but I"m getting there. What else won't happen beacuse I didn't know and didn't book it! Will I get the supper, or will they say "Sorry we're all full, you'll have to eat at the buffet?" This is ridiculous. If the hair is included in the package don't you think MAYBE she should have told me to book it? If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have known AT ALL. FML.

When I asked Beverly she told me that it was no more, and I couldn't get it either and I booked in April. I'm getting married Feb 22. So thats crazy if you can and I was wrongly informed.

I personally didn't think you picked your restaurant until you got there. i'm using the cake and flowers from the resort too. So all I have gone is booked the vacation, paid, emailed the wedding planner the package we want and booked the date. Thats it. Haven't scheduled hair or any of that. I was under the assumption you do that when you get down.

When i asked Beverly abuot the free wedding package she said that it was too late, and I've had my wedding booked since the spring, I think April we had it booked and our deposit down. And now she's telling you that its okay? Ridiculous. Ugh, I've decided to give up planning anything else. I'm just going to go with the flow and not think about details. I'm not going to stress out, I want to have a good time. Hopefully I won't have to make another decision until I'm there. Though there is a part of me thats super worried she's messed up the booking and I'm going to get down there and there is not going to be a wedding! That would BLOW!!!!

I have a question. I was under the assumption you pick the restaurant once you get there. I haven't picked anything at all and I thought you picked the flowers and the restaurant, the location, everything when you're there. So I haven't done anything. Do I have to? YIKES!!!!! Even thuogh you brought your own flowers did you get a chance to look at the ones that come with the wedding package? Is there really a room upgrade like the wedding package states?

Haha I told my mom too that she couldn't wear black, she had to pick colours. All her dresses are black. My mom found one that was purple and pink, super pretty and out of her style ranger she normally wears but she looks GREAT and my dad is happy she followed my advice! Â

That happened to me too, So I had to go into an old email, copy and paste her address into the email and then it sent, it was really weird!

The courthouse in Edmonton, and Im sure other places, have court workers that notarize documents for free. You just need to go to the help desk and ask where they're at.

Yeah it is super expensive there, thats why we went with San Souci and it looks romantic. I originally wanted to stay at the Caves, but that would have been waaaay too much money!!!

Thats what I thought! And when I called in to speak to a lady from West Jet she told me that you are allowed 2 bags, nothing additional beyond that though. Then my actual ticket says 1 and that you can't purchase additional luggage to bring on. So who do I believe? The tour group or the airline? So frustrated. There is NO WAY I will be able to bring everything in one suitcase. Thats ridiculous!

I know, I found that too, but my ticket says that I'm only allowed one piece of baggage and no additional others, and when I called the woman told me about the 2 bags and when I told her that she was all oh I don't know then, guess you'll have to wait til you check in. Which is why Im wondering whats up. Â Basically I'm screwed is what I'm gathering.
