Hi Daisymable, The three resorts share the same salon. I haven't seen anything negative about the salon. Everyone i have seen get there hair and makeup done there was amazing. I just used an outside makeup artist because i wanted something more out than i would usually do and wanted someone who was an expert for that. My hair was done by one of my good friends who is also my hair stylist back in bermuda. For me it was just cheaper to do it this was as the salon prices were a bit much for me.... The makeup artist was only about 150 to do both my sister and I and my friend did my hair for free. I think the salon charges over 200 for wedding hair and makeup( and thats just for the bride) that maybe why others have not used them as well.

Hey chan_porty, They had there speeches dancing (frist dance as well) cutting of the cake as well. I don't believe you can have a dinner there. I think they try to keep all dinners in the resturant areas..

AfricanVenus, That doesn't sound right. My Hair looked really nice not tattered at all! If you are unhappy email her and ask her to send you more hair and send that stuff back. Did you talk to her personally or just ordered online? I would say to call her she is a really nice girl she willl make it right When i washed mine it help up really well. I wash it about 4-5 times and it looked the same after each wash. Sorry about your bad experience

Hey Starrysim, They kicked us out just after 11pm. I am sure if you talked to Nicole when you get there maybe if you pay a little extra maybe the might let you have until 12?

Hey Prettysparklie, If you have a makeup artist coming don't pay a vendor fee for them. Just let the hotel know she is just coming to do your makeup and will be leaving right after. I didn't pay anything for tamika to come. I had room service waiting for her when she arrived and paid her and see was on her way! No vendor fee. Also I am not sure why nicole said 400 for dancefloor?!?!? it has one and a pretty nice one at that! maybe she thinks you want something special ?!?! either way i wouldn't pay for that because it already has one!

Hey Tina5978, I don't even think it will take that long!. I had my ceremony at the lazy river which is right infront of calabash once your cross over the little bridge. the beach is just right past the pools. I would say 2 minutes tops maybe 4 if your dress is a little oversized and hard to walk in!

Hey Islandgirl910, The Dj didn't say much from what i remember but he did play good music! I would specify the music you would like and just give it to them before hand. He started of playing a little older music then made his way up to new stuff. We were all dancing so i wouldn't stress about the outside dj. I had one of my friends be the MC and she would say a couple fo things because she is good at being the spot light. lol

Hi Islandgirl910, We the resort dj was pretty good! We enjoyed his music. It would have been better if we could have partied in calabash till 1 because the time was limited but we definitely like him! I know some people got DJ's from off the resort but unless that cheaper i would definitely go with the one on the resort.

Hey Ladies! thank you for all the compliments! I just got back from the honeymoon last night. I will post more pics one i get them! I actually have no clue what my mom is wearing LOL. All i know is that it is from a shop in winnipeg manitoba called stella's bridal. My mom is still in Jamaica but once she gets back I'll ask her who the designer was.
