  1. Thanks Heather! We are already working with Sunhorse Weddings and I'm pretty happy with them so far. I have heard good things about Juliette Franze though and I'm sure she is great. I'm just curious to know how other people have found the non-resort destination wedding experience to be.
  2. On our website, we wrote, "Your presence is present enough." But we have lots of guests who won't make it and will probably want to buy us a small gift. We have a lot of co-workers who won't be traveling to our wedding as well. So we wanted to have options and this just seemed like a great idea. You can choose any charity you like. There are limitations to where you can register though.
  3. I usually do a search for credit cards with 0% interest for 12 months. We got a Citi card with 0% interest and are using it for all wedding related expenses. This seemed like an easier way to keep track of our spending and we don't have to worry about paying it off right away, although we are not going to let it get out of control. There are no rewards. I'm pretty happy with my Chase Amazon credit card though. 0% Interest Credit Cards Offers - Cards offering no interest for up to 15 months
  4. Just bought mine at Michael's with a coupon. They were a bit more expensive than Target though (around $4.50).
  5. Ayita, this is very helpful! Thanks! I saw a few other great ideas there on your planning thread!
  6. This is the shirt (in all white) that I bought for my nephew to wear. $14 from Old Navy. I wish they had adult sizes. Women's & Men's Clothes: Plus Size, Maternity, Baby & Kid's Clothing | Old Navy
  7. We love Isla Mujeres and are getting married. The ferry is about 20 minutes from the Cancun island. It's pretty low key and incredibly relaxing! Let me know if you need any info about it. We also went to Telum for a day from PDC a few years ago and really loved it there.
  8. Oh, I love that song too! Alright, keeping a list here.
  9. Where is everyone purchasing these white boxes for the first aid/survival kit? Seems like a lot of people are using the same plastic white boxes.
  10. I thought of using Father daughter song by Paul Simon but am now reconsidering. This list is great! Thanks!
  11. So I just bought my bridesmaid dresses from the Limited and love them. With two $50 coupons I paid $65 each. It appears to be pretty blue in this photo but is more of a green/blue in person. Dresses for Women: Dresses | Draped Waist Tank Dress | The Limited My BMs are going to pay me back. But does anyone else feel obligated to buy their dresses? They are spending a lot more than is typical to be in a wedding, although I don't expect them to throw me a shower or anything else that typically can cost a lot (my mother will probably take care of this). I'm curious to know what others are doing.

    New Bride!

You came here for help with making boarding passes, but you'll get so many other ideas. It is too much fun! Congrats and have fun planning!!
  13. We registered for gifts through I Do Foundation: Celebrate Generously Basically, your guests have to go through this website to get to your wedding registries. There are several stores you can choose from and we chose Target, Amazon and Mikasa. A certain percentage of the money spents on gifts that your guests buy will go to the charity of your choice. We don't think we'll get too many gifts and have asked that people not feel obligated to buy us anything since they are spending so much on travel. But at least some money can be donated to charity and it costs nothing to us or our guests! Just thought I'd share. I just really liked this idea. -kim
  14. How exciting!! Congratulations and welcome to the forum.
  15. Register online with Site Requirements for Honeyfund.com, the free honeymoon registry or a registry where people give you money for your honeymoon and other things that you need and then register somewhere like Target where you can return gifts.
  16. I seriously considered it and think it would actually be much more comfortable. However, I ended up going with a very simple long dress. Still, I think they have so many beautiful short dresses that would look great for a destination wedding!
