  1. Thanks for reminding me to set my DVR! I love that show!
  2. This dress is still for sale. I've dropped the price to $450 including shipping. Used Nicole Miller CO0035 wedding dress | Used Wedding Dresses | Once Wed
  3. I'm also getting married in November and live in NJ. I would be interested in going in on a group rate.
  4. Everything looks great! Your photographer did a great job on the BD photos! Very hot! I really appreciate that you found so many unique things at a reasonable price and yet it looks like you spent a lot more money on everything. Very cute and unique ideas. Thanks for sharing!
  5. It all looks great! I love your monogram and the travel mug idea. Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
  6. I'm so impressed! You're guests are going to love everything! Thanks for all of these great ideas!
  7. Wow! You did sooo much work! I love your "little people". That has to be one of the most creative ideas. Move over Martha Stewart.
  8. Kerry, please ignore my PM requesting the first aid kit label. I found it on another thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...c-heavy-53018/
  9. Our guests are staying at Posada del Mar. We stayed there in 2008 and it is so reasonable for what you get and in a great location. I've heard good things about Privilege Aluxes though. And tons of people have very beautiful weddings at Zamas beach. The only reason we did not choose Zamas is the site charge of $3,000 (for Friday or Saturday). Good luck!
  10. We were in Isla Mujeres in June of '08 and were completely entertained for a week. We decided it would be the perfect place for a destination wedding. If you want more info about what to do on the island, I highly recommend checking the forum on Hotels and Vacation Reviews - TripAdvisor and IslaMujeres.info - Your Guide to Isla Mujeres Mexico You could also buy a IM map from the map chick, which has tons of great information. MapChick's travel tips To some extent, I think the level of entertainment depends on your guests. Do they need you to constantly plan things for them or can you give them some suggestions to keep them entertained? There are great snorkeling trips they can take or they can rent golf carts and explore the island. I think our guests will be sad to leave.
  11. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!
  12. Sorry, I didn't realize you were from Canada. So you WILL need a passport to get to PR. It is pretty inexpensive to get there from the states, but the cost of things once there are definitely pricier than say Mexico (still less than home). We also did not explore the northeastern region/San Juan which is also supposed to be nice. Possibly more accessible for guests from the aiport. The Dominican Republic would be another good location. We always meet tons of Canadians when we visit down there so it might be pretty easy to get to for you. It is pretty inexpensive in the DR. Good luck! I'm sure more people on here with have tons of advice and suggestions.
  13. Welcome to the forum Sabina! We are getting married in Isla Mujeres, MX off the coast of Cancun. But we got engaged in Rincon, Puerto Rico and I absolutely loved it there! Good luck!
  14. If anyone is looking for a travel agent for the Cancun/Riviera Maya Area, I highly recommend Kathryn of Kathryn's Travels. She herself got married on Isla Mujeres, where we are getting married. Kathryn's Travel - HOME I also highly recommend that you consider buying a map from the Map Chick if you are traveling to any of these areas. She sells maps for Isla Mujeres, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, the Riviera Maya and Cozumel. They are way better and more informative than any guide book I have bought. And they are only $10. 15. Congrats! We are getting married in November as well in Mexico! Happy planning!!
  16. Everything looks great! Congratulations!! And thanks for sharing!
  17. Jessica, congratulations! I feel like we were kind of in the same boat. Dated for a long time and everyone else met someone and got engaged during that time. But I really think it was worth the wait! You have a great engagement story! I love that you didn't notice at first. He obviously put a lot of effort into that. Welcome to the forum and have fun planning!
  18. Wow, all of this looks great! You must have spent a ton of time on all of this. I really love those wine glass luminaries. Very cute idea.
  19. Congratulations! How fun! I hear that resort is really nice. Enjoy planning!
