  1. Yay!! Welcome and Congrats!!!
  2. Yes please do. Was there a minimum order? I found some for $1.19 on ebay, but waiting to see the quality.
  3. If you're going more formal I'd say definitely Paper Lanterns and Tropical Flowers. Maybe a centerpiece of glass bowl, sand, water, and floating candles. Or submersed tropical flowers with floating candles. But I don't know about the luggage tags w/sand. Could you possibly get souvenirs from your destination? Rum? Tequila? Cigars? Shot Glass?
  4. I'm actually ordered one from a vendor on ebay to see the quality before I get more. For cashmere pashminas, they are $1.19 each plus $4 shipping. The reviews are great, but I'm waiting to see for myself. deo gratias deal2008 items - Get great deals on Scarves Wraps, Hair Accessories items on eBay.com!
  5. Interestingly enough, my biggest stress factor is that I sometimes feel like I have TOO MUCH time still. Not getting married until next April. Trying to stick to my budget...but it seems like the more time I have, the more fabulous things I think to add to the mix. So maybe it's more of a $$ thing than anything...
  6. Definitely depends on your complexion. I am very dark skinned so the white POPS on me, but would likely wash someone fair skinned out. It also depends on the fabric and style of dress.
  7. Whatever you do you have to use a primer as base....on everything. I suggest a face primer, eye primer, primer for your lashes and your lips. For your face, MAC has a Prep+Prime Skin, but I just saw that they also carry one with SPF 50 -- very necessary if you're marrying outdoors. Prep+Prime Eye and Prep+Prime Lash for your eyes and lashes -- but any of the dual mascaras that you can buy in the drugstore can do! Though they carry Prime+Prep for lips, I prefer using a neutral lip pencil color to cover the entire lip before applying your lipstick or gloss -- it does wonders!. I've never used the midst the ladies have suggested, but I've read that it definitely seals the deal. If you buy $50 worth of makeup at MAC they'll do your trial for free. I say try it out when the counter opens and see what your face looks like by 5.
  8. Congrats and Welcome! T&C sounds DIVINE!!
  9. It depends on the quality of the LED lights...I've seen some pretty bad ones reminiscent of the Christmas candles people put in their windows for Christmas...ummm yeah. I'm getting married in JA in Aprill and my WP says its the windiest month. But she guarantees that if the the votive holder is tall/deep enough, it will protect the flame from the wind...
  10. Isn't it interesting how when you're UBER excited people have a way of trying to rain on your parade. I always wonder "What is it about me that makes you feel comfortable saying something so SELFISH and STUPID to my face!" No worries...shake it off...laught it off...and remember - "When people open their mouths they put their brains on display!" It's YOUR wedding and you shall do as YOU please!
  11. I don't think the pearls have to be an exact match. Try and find a pair of pearl earrings that have something else going on like a diamond-ish/pearl combo. I saw a cute pair at Express a few weeks ago - a pearl stud w/ a diamond-ish halo around them.
  12. April 2011 in the house!! Welcome and Congrats!
