OHHH I love love love this idea...I wanted to place petals like that but I was worried about the wind blowing them away. We are all dying to see some pics of the final product and to read some more info on it...how many petals did you need? cost? etc, Thanks again for sharing your beautiful idea with us xoxo

Wow...those look great; your orchids look sooooo real. My WC was charging me $200 per centerpiece with orchids.. LOL can you believe that riunegrilbride2010, in regards to setting up your decorations, most WC do that for you...its their job. Just e-mail your WC and ask her. Mine is doing it for me and Im just going to have my MOH check up on her to see if she is doing everything right while I am out taking pictures after my ceremony.

I dont like chair covers either so Im planning on hanging some flowers with crystals on the sides of the chairs. I saw a pic of that somewhere on the internet and I thought it was so beautiful. If I find the pic, I will post it!

Since its going to be sooo hot outside, I was thinking of wearing something light (lace undies/bra) and then at night when we go to our room, I can go all out and put on a whole sexy outfit...

I love the idea of spending the night apart before we get married but realistically I wont be able to do that. Like many others have mentioned, I really hate sleeping without him so feeling *blah* the night before our big day would totally suck! So Im planning on spending the night together and then I will tell him to set the alarm to wake him up a little earlier than me so he can leave the room without me seeing him or talking to him

They didn't have any lights in them. None of our lanterns had lights in them. The Staff hung them for us. Again, no pics yet. But when we get our photographers' pics back I will def share! I can't wait to see all of your photographs Im trying to figure out whether I should go with round tables or rectangualr ones so I have one more quick question...I noticed that you had rectangular tables rather than round ones....how many of those did you have (for how many guests) any how many people could be seated at each table? Hello Hello...Im getting married at Dreams La Romana (Dominican Republic) on September 10th 2010 So far I; ordered my dress; bought my invitations; place cards; favor boxes and bouquet and got my photographer and videographer. Considering I havent bought my veil yet or my shoes and jewlery and the fact that Im bringing down many things such as table cloths; my own centerpieces; parasols for the bridesmaid, etc, I still have a lot to do but no worries here yet lol One thing at a time...I know the wedding is fast approaching but still enough time left to get everything done Congrats everyone...YAAAAAAYY USS!!!

GEM your centerpieces sound beautiful without having to spend so much money If I decide to do the centerpieces with candles, I read that as long as you have tall hurricane vases, the wind wont be able to blow the flame out. I will test this at home on a winy day. Btw, how are you carrying the vases down? I was thinking of distributing them amongs people to take them in their carry-ons but does the airline allow this? Maybe they think glass can be broken as used as a weapon? Another option are flameless candles that operate with batteries..they look very real...im just looking for a better deal because so far they seem a little pricey. If anyone knows a place where I can buy them for cheaper pls lemme know! Dolfinluck...I love that pic...that one insipred me for my engagement party...I made those tissue pop poms by myself in hot pink, lime green and orange Martha Stewart was charging too much and she only had a few colors available). (Ive changed my wedding color theme from orange to brown since then). I love the idea of using lanterns as well..they are so easy to carry....where did you get them from? *yay* Jenne....congrats and we all hope you will have an amazing wedding! GEM, it turns out I will also be bringing decorations with me for my centerpieces after Tiara gave me the prices LOL This is what I wrote her: You said that the prices for the centerpieces vary. Can you give me an idea of how much flowers cost? (from cheapest to most expensive...such as roses, orchids, etc) The cheapest price will be USD 70.00. And orchids centerpiece will cost you around USD 200.00. $200 for orchids for one centerpiece?? IS SHE CRAZY?? and I would need at least 6 of those....so yea... Then she attached pics of different centerpieces other brides have used and they just looked like a bouquet you would buy at a supermarket for 10 dollars which was then thrown into a vase. I have pics of centerpieces that Tiara sent me if anyone is interested. Here are two examples she sent me which cost more than $70 USD: Now Im just looking into putting together my own centerpieces. I have a few ideas so I was thinking for all of us ladies to post ideas of what our centerpieces will look like. Here are two which I love since real flowers are not an option anymore *tear*: 1. For this one you would need a nice vase and preserved flowers....so something like this: a) AND The second idea I like is using a vase with a big candle and preserved flowers or petals. But you risk the chance of it being windy and for the candles to be blown out by the wind.
