  1. Not sure on the location but they use LOMAS for their flowers http://weddings.lomas-travel.com/planning/bouquets.php?category=BOUQUETS-and-Centerpieces&idc=19 May I also suggest that you look into REAL TOUCH flowers as well. These are VERY VERY lifelike flowers that will last forever and you can get exactly what you want. Since you bring it with you there is no outside vendor fee and you can take more time to decide. I used an ETSY seller http://www.etsy.com/shop/modagefloral and everyone here in Houston who has seem my bouquet loves it and can't believe it is fake. I also got all my flowers for less than $400. The only con is I have to take them with me but I plan on using that as my carry-on since I only have a few pieces. Hope that give you some options.
  2. I did that as well Quote: Originally Posted by JaimeCF2BR Hey Ladies. Just wanted to share this sample Symbolic Ceremony Sermon I received from my WC today. 3. I haven't asked but I get the feeling no because my WC sent me an email saying my detail sheet had offically been sent to the resort. I was happy with it though so I figure any changes at this point I will have to do when I get down there.
  4. Cups came from discountfavors.com You have to order a Min of 100 so I am using 20 for my bachlorette this weekend and the other 80 at the resort for the OOT bags. My cost was $110 The Koozies from the below company - I order most of my stuff for my job from her so she has below a friend. Tell her you know Maggie from the radio stations and I can't promise but she might give you a deal. My cost for 87 koozies one color print with shipping and tax was $200. BBut I got one of the more expensive koozies made out of Neoprene which is like a scuba suit type material Mickey Blake 713-462-6000 Cell: 832-654-6687 Fax: 713-481-8465 [email protected] 404 Reinerman Street Houston, TX 77007 www.marketabilityinc.com Women Owned and Operated.
  5. That program is very cool! We opted not to do one since we have a 10 minute ceremony and no bridal party! LOL
  6. Ladies in May, I know that sometimes the Miami office has taken their time after you submit your final payment but they took and processed mine in 2 days so just a heads up they seem to be working pretty fast! I am now complete done with planning with the resort and happy! 5 weeks out and really i only have a couple things left to do before the great packing project of getting everything ready to go! I leave Friday to head home to Philadelphia to have my bacchlorette party Number 2 up north! This one is with all the girls I never get to see on a regular basis. Some girls I haven't seen in like 4-5 years since I live all the way in Texas. I am both excited and nervous. The theme is ladies golf (since the Masters is this weekend and I stole the idea from the movie "The Wedding Date" I am not in love with my outfit so I need to make a lunch trip to the mall. Next weekend i have my bridal portrait here in Houston. I still need to do one more fitting. I can't believe that my wedding is 5 weeks away. It seems like just yesterday I was stressing over which resort!

  9. My Welcome party is the Mexican Donkey Cocktail 2 hour private event. It's on the beach and we are basically using it for a chance to have everyone at the wedding meet each other before the reception. There are many different groups of people from my FI and Life that have never met. Plus our parents have never met each other so I figure the welcome party is for everyone to get together and relax. The bridal Portrait is with a local photographer here in Houston. I really wanted some good pictures of me in my dress without all the hurry up and take pictures rush of between the wedding and the reception. Also our "kids" The dogs are not coming to Mexico and I really wanted to get a couple photos with the dogs. Basically it is another excuse to wear my dress, get my hair and makeup done and strutt around the local park here in Houston! Gifts we got Parents: My step Dad is getting 4 tickets to a Penn State Game this year. he is a big fan and they live in the area. My mom I had a braclet made from a jeweler friend here in houston. It's has both my brother and my birthstones and is her style FI Mom - Same thing. having a braclet made with the birthstones of her three boys FI Dad - New golf club. Not sure which one My FI picked it out My brother who is walking me down the aisle and is my witness since I don't have bridesmaids - Haven't found anything yet FI brother who is his best man - We are getting a couple outfits for him since he lives in London and he complains how expensive clothes are so we got him a bunch of new slacks and shirts. Not too touching but we are more practical people. LOL
  10. Hi Ladies! This weekend I have a big DYI weekend with my best friend. We are getting everything organized for the OOT bags! I really don't have too much left to do for the big day: 1. Menu Cards for the tables at my Welcome Party 2. Nail down the rest of the reception and Welcome party music and start getting it loaded on the IPOD 3. Put together one OOT bag and make sure we have everything 4. Get our gifts for the parents 5. Write up the games for the Welcome party (We are doing beer pong, flip cup, it's like one of those old school beach party we went to in college) 6. Get our Marriage license 7. Get legally married here in the states 8. Go for my now final fitting 9. Get my bridal portrait done here in Houston 10. Philly Bachlorette next weekend! I am sure will think of a dozen more things!
  11. Sound like you and I have about the same amount of people and I have a little less stuff to put out. I only have Table numbers, guest book, menu cards, laterns and Xmas lights. I will prepare for $150 and see what we can neogiate! Thanks for the heads up!!!
  12. That is interesting! I already paid for my menu cards from etsy and love them so I am cool with it!
  13. Planning going well. We are about 46 days away. I just have little things to do. We are going to legally get married towards the end of the month at the courthouse so that is the next big project

  17. My dress is so thin and straight that I am going to put it in the suitcase and have it steamed when I get there My WC couldn't tell me but other brides I have talked to have said all different things. One girl was $3 a person and talked them down to $75 another was $125 another $150 Past brides can you report what your set up fee was. It seems like it's totally based on how well you can neogiate once you get down there. We have 65 people so I am going to shoot for $100 since I really don't have a lot to set up. I just have menu cards for the tables and my guest book, some lights, and seating place cards
  18. Does anyone know a consistent set-up cash fee once we are down there. My WC couldn't tell me and I know some people have said anywhere from $3 a person to $100
  19. AHHHHH, I just sent in my final payment...whew after 8 months of planning with my WC it is pretty much done! Now I still have stuff to get done but everything with the resort is done till I get down there! WHEW!!!!
