Like the ladies below we are getting married Saturday by minister friend we know. For us we just didn't want to go thru the hassle or worry about translating everything and having to take the time to go get a blood test down there. On Sat we are not saying vows, or rings or anything. The minister has to ask us 3 questions (basically are you coming into this of your own free will and do you take you and vice versus then signing our certificate. This time next week I will have drink in hand at AS!!! Had a minor freak out this morning. Little Itunes snafu that wipeed out all the playlists but I had written everything down luckily!!!! Only had to rebuy 4 songs!!! The FI went and got our marriage license today. Our legal day is Saturday!

May is finally here!!!! We leave on the 10th!!!

I know We leave in a week and one day!!!! Packing for the third time went well. I got all the wedding stuff in 2 suitcases and they are both under 50 pounds each so no extra charges. Now moving on to the other 2 suitcases for clothing and some odds and ends!!!

I can't believe it but in less than 2 weeks we leave. At this time in 2 weeks I will be at my trial for hair and make-up!!! Started packing attempt number 3 this morning and so far I got one suitcase under weight. moving on to #2 I have a good feeling about this trial!

We leave May 10th so a little less than 2 weeks. I can't believe it's FINALLY HERE

May ladies! When do you all leave and when will you be at AS? Anyone there while I am I would love to meet up for a drink! For the reception I went with the Petit Gourmet Buffet. It was $22 a person I believe

I actually got the Mexican Donkey Cocktail 2 hour package. It's in the banquet PDF. Did I send that to you? You pay per canape per person and they have a min you need to get per person. I think with the selections I made it came out to like $14 a person, then we got the 20% off from the promotion. Thanks for the advice! I am going to call this afternoon and get the answers!

I really think it totally depends on the airline. I found out yesterday that Bags on Continential Flying Internationally to Mexico HAVE to be Under 50 to not get charges and your only allowed up to 70 pounds no matter what. Also they have "extra fees" so say my suitcase is 65 pounds not only am I going to get charged for the weight but also a $200 handling fee. Also when traveling to certain countries on Continental you absolutely can only have 2 checked bags per person. I read all this on their website and i am callingtoday to get confirmation. If I can't get these bags under 50 pounds then i am going to start to leave stuff behind and just mail it out with wedding annoucements or something. I am stuck cause all the people we could ask to take stuff are flying from other states...ARG!!! I know I will figure it out but it is fustrating. My advice is maybe to try a trial run at packing earlier then 2 weeks before you go like I did. If I knew it was going to be this much stress I would have cut somethings out of my welcome bags Sorry ladies, had to vent at myself....this is the only thing left that is causing me stress.

Here is what I did and hopefully it helps! I did a more laid back Welcome Beach BBQ the day before my wedding since that is when all the guests will be there and most of them have never met. With the 25 person dinner I got with my package I turned that into a "Family" Only dinner on Friday night since my parents and my FI parents have never met. I thought a quietier setting would be good for that. So my timeline is Thursday 1/2 the guests arrive Friday Other 1/2 arrive and we have 12 person Family Dinner Saturday Beach BBQ Welcome Party 4p-6p Sunday WEDDING!!! Hope that helps!

When i was thinking about doing them I found a couple of sellers on Etsy I really liked. Ultimately it got cut from the budget

Ironically our clothes are the least of our problem. Together we fit everything but my dress into a carryon....it's all the crap for the bags and the wedding. HA LOL Also again ironic everyone flying to AS is coming from different cities. The 4 people we have coming from our airport aren't coming till Saturday! I will figure it out. I budgeted to pay for bags my problem is I om way overweight on all but our clothes bag.. I might need to add another suitcase
