I hear you QueenDiva - I have a friend like that as well. I'm sorry that its your Maid of Honor. That's so disappointing. You wait your whole life for this day to come and you feel like its a huge burden to your friends. I hope your MOH pulls through in the end and supports you the way she should on your big day!!!!

I will say - going through the wedding process, you really learn who your great girlfriends are and appreciate them. I have one guest who got engaged after us and her fiance wanted to get married before, she said no - we will not steal the spotlight and have scheduled their wedding for 4 months after ours . She will be coming to mine and I to hers!

She is absolutely being inappropriate. Friendships change when you get into a serious relationship with someone and I would say the fact your getting married makes it serious enough. She needs to respect your relationship by backing off and not acting like she always did and the fact she doesn't would tell me exactly what it tells you - that she doesn't care and she has the hots for him. I absolutely wouldn't want her at my wedding as this is your day together and neither of you should feel uncomfortable on your day of celebration. Guys are so oblivious when it is them. They never see it because they don't look at the girl that way - they don't understand how it looks to someone else. I think you are right on track girl! Good luck!

OUr biggest stressor has been determining our "First Dance" song. We had our song all picked out and it was perfect for us and my FI's little sister who decided to get engaged after us and married 3 months before, also decided it should be her first dance song and didn't tell us. We heard it at the wedding and I literally ran out of the room in tears. So we've been hunting for 3 months for another perfect song because we refuse to have the same song. I thougth we had it and then after trying to dance to it last night - realized it just doesn't work for our lack of dancing skills. So the hunt is back on and it best hurry - our ceremony is in 10 days!

All my guests booked through my TA with the exception of 2 couples and they were both in the wedding party so I knew when they booked. All of my other guests were grateful to have the TA to work with who knew exactly what the program was and when they should get there and leave. The reason those 2 couples did not book is because they have a timeshare with the hotel we are staying at so they just utilized their free weeks.

I have 2 bands as well and plan on adding one band at the legal ceremony that we are doing 5 days before the symbolic ceremony, then my FI will put the remaining band on my finger durnig the 2nd ceremony! Only 5 days until my legal! Woo Hoo!!

I stayed there 2 years ago and saw a wedding in the gazebo. It was beautiful and a wonderful location. It is such a classy hotel. Very quiet and relaxing. You will be pleased!

I did boarding pass invitations as well and did not include an RSVP. I enclosed a card with the travel agents website and information so people could book. My TA contacted me after anyone booked so I essentially got my RSVP that way. I wouldn't waste the money on extra cards. Good luck!

I have not had a wedding at the Atlantis but have stayed there and it is a beautiful and very fun resort but incredibly expensive! Unless you can find some kind of all inclusive package - the cheapest place to eat was the on site Starbucks. I paid $12 for a hot dog and $8 for an ice cream bar. Crazy!! But so much to do for your guests and just a beautiful resort!

I got the bags in Kansas City but I bought them last summer. Not sure if they are a seasonal item or not. Not the most glamorous bags by any means but very good quality for a $1.

Congrats! That is so exciting! We are doing ours 1 week from today and fly out to Mexico a few hours later! Can't wait!

Ok - got the ceremony moved up a half hour to 3:30 instead of 4:00 so that should give us plenty of time for pictures! Claudia's crew will show up at 2:30 for getting ready pictures and we are good to go! I know you are supposed to provide the photographer with a meal - does the resort just take care of this or do I need to set it up. Since they are a resort vendor - I assume the resort is aware but Claudia mentioned it to me so maybe they aren't aware?

Hello ladies who have already stayed at EDR - was there wi-fi capabilities at the hotel and if so, was it provided for a fee or at no charge? Also, if you did use it - did it work properly or was it spotty? Thanks!

Yikes! I'm getting married in 2 weeks and also have a 4pm wedding. I wonder if we should try and move it up a half hour or so? I'm sure the resort could accomodate and then still have our dinner at 6:00pm. Except that might mess up the spa appointments. Ugh! So excited that you loved Citalli though. I'm using her too and very excited!!

I'm putting my gifts in the OOT bags - so there is an extra special surprise in it for them when they get to their room. I bought small Coach purses that have enough room for wallet, camera, and lipsticks and thought it would be perfect for the nights out at the resort. :0)

Definitely doesn't seem real and I think when its over, I will feel a bit lost without having anything to plan! Started packing up the OOT stuff last night and wondering how in the world I am going to get everything down there! I filled one large suitcase with OOT bag stuff! That doesn't include other stuff I need for the wedding and then a suit case for clothes & shoes! Yikes!

alright Brides - January is almost here! These last couple weeks of December are going to fly by with the holidays! Is everyone ready to go???? I leave on January 4th and counting down the days. So excited!!! I thought maybe I should start the packing process but scared to see how much stuff I have to haul down there!! Thankfully I found out we can check 3 bags each for free on our flight! I thought that seemed excessive but now maybe not! Anway, just excited and wanted to post something! I'm sure all the other January Brides are anxious as well!!

Thank you!! The flip flops I got at Advantage Bridal - they are the "Not The Girl Next Door but Two Doors Down brand". My bridesmaids all got brown ones. Super cute!
