Anyway, do you have a contract with Dreams yet? If not contact a TA to see what you can get by booking more rooms. At that time we were able to get every 6th room free! So we ended up having some credits....which was nice.... Reserve the MasterSuite and then I think its 30 days before travel final payment will be due ( everyone else will pay as well) this is when your TA will help you!!!! I think the room was 1502! I would have to check for you to make sure! But you have to email a million time, because they still put us in the wrong room....we had to transfer.... As for favors for guys: we didnt give them any extra ( we gave them extra stuff in welcome bags: ie flip flops) we were going to do the cigars but I spent so much on the welcome bags we didnt. I also had candles that I made fpr each table, so guests could use them while on vacation. (they had our monogram on them!~ (added to the tables too!) Some guests will use the travel agent and some will book sep. I think most used the travel agent for round trip transfers.. which was good because then you have all the information (times flights for each guest) As for welcome bags: I seperated each group of bags by dates of arrival and had travel info and left welcome bags daily.... Lindsay, I didnt know they actually used it.. I was just ranting because I was so mad about the communication!! That was about the only time I was able to relax on the beach before the wedding. I can send you all my planning sheets.. I dont have an excel for the breakdown because after the wedding they just give you receipts for each breakdown... we matched it to the breakdown we had for what it would cost,.... 2 stands with strands of lanterns. I wish I had two more for the beach side... LOVED THESE LIGHTS! They looked so beautiful in pics! Did not have to pay for Deco Cancun Wedding was Nov 11th.. it was breezy but everyone loved that it was by the beach!!! I gave the ladies pashminas as the favor.. ok the trick is to RESERVE THE MASTERSUITE!!!!! Then they will deduct it after!!! I specifically asked for that room and it was great for pictures! We loved it and our guests thought our reception was amazing! ok.. so as for the fabric for ceremont and chair ties, overlays, centerpieces w flowers we used deco cancun! i cant RAVE enough about what an amazing job they did and it was SOOOO much cheaper than the hotel! I think I pd 50.00 for the ceremony fabric and dreams wanted to charge 300. As for centerpieces w flowers and candles 20 bucks! Actually 18 to be exact!!!! I also purchased the lanterns , couches w pillows... from deco cancun .. I think I pd a total of 1400 including everything for deco cancun and they actually brought extra table centerpieces. I think I only pd for 9 and they brought 11....maybe double that because they put two on a table. I wouldnt get the tall candles surrounding the beach. It wasnt worth it and they actually refunded our money. I would have probably went with 4 of the standing poles with lanterns, they really made it look gorgeous.... as for the centerpieces with candles. They didnt light, but that was ok.. If they didnt fill the water so high maybe they would have.. but it didnt matter. I thought they were gorgeous. I bought all the crystals for the tables at michaels.. and also bought the starfish, big and small and spray painted them my colors.. they were a perfect accent on the tables. and for the ceremony runner. I wouldnt have done the bling disposable cameras because the pictures didnt come out good.. so it was a waste of money! hmmm what else... DECO CANCUN was the way to go! I didnt have to worry about anything.. they even did the cair ties.. I think I pd 2.00 oe 2.50 per chair tie. I didnt have to worry who was going to put them on and off at the ceremony & reception.... Hope this info helps you ladies. Like the other brides who have already been married there.... If you are as detail oriented as I am this place might not be for you, but AGAIN they came thru and I really did have such an AMAZING wedding!!! Happy Planning!!!! our wedding cake.. looked better from the back.. they put all the flowers that were suppose to go on the table around the cake on the cake. I found the note with instructions but they still put it on the cake!!! these were our floral centerpieces the hotel provided with our package!!!

Hi Ladies, I have heard that they are changing there vendors and will not be using DJ Doremixx.. I think thats absurd. they should honor all the contracts that brides already had.. I must say this hotel really cant get it together. But for the brides getting married.. THEY DO MAKE IT HAPPEN IN THE END. SO dont stress! Your wedding will be beautiful and the resort itsself it FANTASTIC!! Good luck to all the upcoming brides!!!!!!

i sent you info to your mailbox!! You will have a gorgeous wedding.. honestly the one thing i would have done over is not freak out about communication.. its almost pointless because you will have to go over all the info when you get there. If they promised you anything have it in writing and bring all documentation. The hotel is gorgeous, bt they are a bit disorganized.. be prepared!!!!

put the parasols in a hard cover suitcase and you will be fine!!!!

KEYS- we didnt have a problem with keys but our guests were told they could only get 1 per room!! Forgot about that!!!

we had 60 people attend.. BTW Blue channel is the vendor they use and BEWARE they lie! There work was good but makke sure you actuy get what they are goping to do in writing!!! They told us they took 5hrs of video footage and that we owed them more money. We asked to purchase the unedited footage as well. When we asked them the total time they shot they said 2hr 7min!!!!! They are crooks!

I ASKED THEM TO PUT REAL FLOWERS ON THE CAKE BUT THEY MISUNDERSTOOD. DDEMAYO- I ACTUALLY SAW YOUR WEDDING AND SAW YOU WHEN i WAS AT THE SWING BAR! CONGRATS! YOU LOOKED LIKE YOU HAD A GREAT TIME AND IT WAS BEATIFUL!!! I THINK MY FRIENDS ACTUALLY HAVE A FEW PICS OF YOUR WEDDING ! LOL I WILL LOOK! I BOOKED IN FEB .. CONFIRM YOUR LOCATION RIGHT AWAY... IF THEY CHANGE HANDS AGAIN AT LEAST YOU WILL HAVE A CONFIRMATION. AND MAKE SURE YOU ALSO HAVE A BACK UP PLAN IF IT RAINS!!! I BOOKED SALON THRU WEDDING COORDINATOR 9 GET CONFIRMATON0 ALSO BOOK YOUR ROMANTIC DINNER BEFORE YOU GET THERE AND YOUR MASSAGE APPTS. THEY FILL UP QUICK.. IF NOT BOOK AT TIME OF CHECK IN!!! AND REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO PICK YOUR MEAL.... SUGGESTION FOR DECO CANCUN: USE BAMBOO LANTERNS, LOUNGE FURNITURE, I GOT TWO.... FOR CEREMONY USE THEM IF YOU WANT COLORED SHEER LINEN! I LOVED THIS FOR MY WEDDING! HOTEL WAS CHARGING 300 AND THEY CHARGED 50.00 LOVED LOVED LOVED MY CENTERPIECES!!!!! THEY WERE SOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!! dont GET candles for around pool OR BEACH AREA ( they come in all sizes) its too windy!! i thought they provided led ones and they werent. hope this helps!

I BOUGHT IT AT MICHAELS USED A COUPON ONLINE 40 OR 50% OFF.. YOU CAN GET A COUPON ONLINE ANYTIME .. I NEVER BOUGHT A LARGE PURCHASE THERE WITHOUT THE COUPONS! LOL. EVEN THO IT DIDNT MATTER! I SPENT A FORTUNE THERE! I ACTUALLY PAINTED THE SUIT WHITE.. ADDED THE CYRSTALS WITH A GLUE GUN. ( YOU CAN GET THEM IN THE DOLLAR SECTION AT MICHAELS) PAINTED THE STRIPES TO MATCH MY HUBBY'S SHIRT AND THEN MY NIECE ADDED THE HAIR ! LOL I PROB SPENT 10 BUCKS ON IT?
