  1. Arrrgh these look so good and are exactly what I want! We're doing purple for our wedding (though I just decided this a couple days ago) and these mugs would be perfect. Yours look so wonderful! I was thinking "Party in Paradise, Mexico 2010". Haha, great minds must think alike Do you mind if I ask how much your order was? I need about 32 as well and wanted an insulated mug with a handle.
  2. Sooo beautiful, especially close up. I wish fake orchids didn't cost a fortune! Did you get yours from Michaels?
  3. Holy sexy BD shots Batman!! I can't believe how much work you've put in too, your guests are going to be so impressed!
  4. They totally look professional! They look like great candid shots and will look perfect for invites, framed photos at your wedding, thank you cards, everything! The last one where you're laughing is my fave.
  5. So romantic! I'm getting teary-eyed just reading it! lucky girl
  6. I've never heard of him, but I would recommend doing a search on Mexico photographers or Cancun photographers since there are a few threads on that topic on BDW. Tons of brides go with off resort photographers, so there should be a lot of opinions and reviews on several of them.
  7. Looks great! Getting your make-up done is so much fun too. I'm lucky my gf works for MAC so I'm dragging her down to Mexico to do mine, lol. I just did a MAC lesson though (since I know very little about makeup) and learned sooo much!
  8. Welcome to the forum and a BIG congrats on getting engaged!!!
  9. What a deal! They look great and will be perfect with tags and ribbon!
  10. Ooo congrats on the engagement and welcome to the forum! Cancun side of Mexico is so gorgeous, you'll get those stunning blue water sunset pics we all dream about.
  11. Holy cow, everything looks amazing! You must have put so many hours in and your efforts really show!
  12. I was thinking purple too, as it's always been a favorite colour. I'm thinking plum chair bows, eggplant ribbon accents on fans, programs, candles, and then a gold table runner. I'm very undecided about the table runner colour though, I feel like getting plum would be too matchy-matchy.
  13. Aww what great friends! It looked like tons of fun, and I love the teary pic. I love baking and cooking, allrecipes.com and the foodgawker blog are my favorite.
  14. Welcome to BDW! Glad you found so much info on your resort already, anything to calm the stresses is always more than welcome!

I'm thinking curled hair pulled into a low chignon type style too. It's so romantic, especially with a strapless gown on the beach. *sigh*
  16. Thanks so much for sharing! I love templates. It's so hard not to want to do EVERYTHING. My guests will need 4 arms at the ceremony if I keep this up (fans, programs, bubbles, roses....lol)
  17. Gorgeous! I love that it has embossed leaves and green orchids are so beautiful. I'm considering using one for my hair but am so undecided on hair, veil, flower combos! Who know weddings could be so tough? The lighter green orchid would so such a chic accent to an emerald wedding, good call. The three tier is beautiful. I just want AT LEAST a two tier, and if they could do that for free I'd be in there like swimwear. You only have a couple more months to go, you must be so excited!
  18. Both these things are super unique and adorable. I love your logo too, so sweet

I really don't want to customize it too much since I have seen some really bad cakes out there wherein they tried to have the cakes almost custom-made. Post a pic! I'd LOVE to see! I think I'm going go to do a cake upgrade since it's my wedding, but know a lot of it might not get eaten since there are desserts at the reception dinner too. How big do you think the complimentary cake would be if I'm having 30-35 people? It's hard not to envision a tiered cake for the big day, and would be a bit disappointed if I got a Safeway-style slab cake.

I'm expecting 30-35 guests so I'm just going to do either 3 long rectangular tables or 6 round tables. I'm using DecoCancun for the centerpieces so I'm trying to limit the number of tables as their centerpieces go up as high as $150 each. Ooo how did you swing going with an outside vendor for centerpieces? I'd like to do as few as possible 'cause they're kind of a pain to carry there. Thanks for the info, I was imagining rectangular, but like round too! So it's 5 people/round, and 10 people/rectangle?
  21. Welcome to BDW and congrats on the engagement! Picking a venue is a toughy but so much fun once you find 'the one'.
  22. Thanks for sharing! I'm terrible at wording and know I gotta get a move on on welcome letters and stuff!
