  1. sooo cute, I could feel the excitement even just reading the story! Big congratulations!! <3
  2. It's not upbeat but it has a very sweet message and has a positive feel. Are you doing a sand ceremony? That might be a nice time for it since you'll be busy pouring sand and they'll be saying the script so it's appropriate to have a softer song. I hear signing the papers can be quite a long process too, so that might be another option for playtime. Just do what you want, it's your wedding!
  3. Thanks for the mascara and make up tips. I will definitely be crying (since I can't even think about the wedding w/o getting misty) and also wanted to wear make up for our TTD. We end up going under the water too and I know nothing about makeup I hear sephora has everything though. I'm thinking just some shadow and mascara.
  4. Janine, your choice is so pretty! I'm a bit jealous, lol. WretchedDeviant - keep us posted on the dress hunt!

  7. Welcome and a huge Congratulations!!! This forum is so addictive so be prepared to love some sleep hunting through pages of great ideas and smart, funny brides!
  8. Aww Dreams are so beautiful, but I'm sure you'll find the one that's perfect for you. Congrats on the engagement, 9 years?! You must be excited to finally be tying the knot w/ your love.
  9. Welcome to the forum! Great destination to pick, it's been all Canadian tourists for so long and everyone I know who has gone has LOVED it!

Welcome to the forum! You're wedding is so close, you must be beaming! Most brides take it as a carry-on on the plane and they hang it for you if they have space. The compartment isn't super high so sometimes the bottom of the dress gets wrinkly anyways. Does anyone know if it counts as an actual carry-on, or is it EXTRA? I'm sure we all have TONS of stuff to lug down to our weddings and can use all the space they let us!
  11. Omg your wedding is so soon! I'm so excited for you!! If you're not set on a song, I LOVE this one for beachy weddings: Israel Kamakawiwo'ole'- Somewhere over the rainbow Here's a youtube clip if you've never heard it: YouTube - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole'- Somewhere over the rainbow lyrics
  12. I'm definitely getting married in Canada before I go down for my Mexico wedding. I've told a lot of people I'm doing it this way, and they seem fine with it but I definitely downplay the importance of the legal stuff. I really do feel like the REAL wedding will be in my wedding dress, in Mexico, in front of family and friends. It is the day I will celebrate our anniversary and the one I will really remember and cherish. How can my guest be being cheated if that's how I feel??
  13. lol, I've totally been stalking this thread for months and dying to see luciel's dress since she decided to order it! I was doing the duosheng vs gianinar thing too, and then caved and bought someone's dress online. It's not a trumpet-style dreamdress, but it's beautiful and it's mine. It's so hard to decide when it's your actual wedding dress + TTD. From the dresses posted, I think I favor the gianinar knock-offs more. Though the fit might need some alterations after.
  14. Gorgeous! The shape and train are going to be so beautiful (and sexy!) for the TTD shoot. What a sweet cousin, I would be crying if that happened to me, lol.
  15. Ok, I'm back, it was an easy find 'cause like many other brides I've looked at 30,000 gowns online only to buy one completely opposite of what I wanted (but for rediculously cheap). It was the San Patrick Postal dress. Here's some extra pics so it's easier to make a decision: Good luck with the dress hunt!

It also worries me that they tell me that they can not make it exactly the same way. So the question is... how close to it? Thanks everyone on giving me some advise.... I totally appreciate it. Both dresses are beautiful, but I think the first one seems like a safer bet w/ a knock-off dress. I was considering very similar styles but was worried a lace overlay done wrong might look cheap. If done right, it's stunning though. I've seen the first dress before, I'm pretty sure it's either a Pronovias or San Patrick dress from this season. I'll try to help you find more of the exact pics of the dress if you like.
  17. Omg they're so cute! I especially love the one when u two are walking away holding your boards, and the ones on the ski lift. I was a former Winnipeger too and have a lot of love for the city (just not the cold or bite-you-through-your-jeans mosquitos!). I hope you had or are having a wicked wedding social, koubassa and Old dutch ketchup chips included
  18. Ooo great idea!! I would love this with pink/white petals scattered along the edge, and then beach brides wouldn't have to worry about their petals flying away in the wind! Yours looks wonderful, lots of petals left to go I wish I could come help, glue gun in hand.
  19. Ooo I didn't know you could pick rose colours for the complimentary bouquet! I thought it would be white lilies or roses, which I thought would be to matchy matchy with the dress. So you can do pink, red, or mixes?? That would save a lot of time and money on making a real touch bouquet (which means I can spend it somewhere else, lol)
  20. Nice! Yes, we did meet at the bar, but we were both employees there and didn't start dating until long after we stopped working there. Bartending is a GREAT way to pay graduate school fees! I used the gogo dancing money to pay my tuition too and got a Biochem degree U sound like a brainy babe, no wonder your FI is in love!
  21. Ooo andi so cute! Who makes them, and do they come in different colors?

Then your guest will be able to make reservations. 72 hours for guest to book doesn't sound right at all....... My guest have been able to make reservations for almost an entire year.. Ahh thanks for responding. It's good to know your guests could book for a year. I think it's the policy with the TA I'm trying to work with, but I'll talk to the WC and hopefully she'll let me book my guests for longer to count towards room nights. We have 0 bookings and 4 months to go, so the stress is gonna start pouring in I'm sure.
