Does anyone know how much a day pass would cost for a DJ? Since they are only there for around 4 hours, the higher amount listed on the brouchure doesnt seem right.

Oh exciting! Take lots of pictures! Esp of the reception locations. I have only seen the purple ballroom and would like to see the rest of the options. Also, the spot by the pool where they say you can have a reception. Let us know how it goes!! =)

FYI- I just read on the Dreams Palm Beach Brides Facebook page that Yeisy is no longer with the resort =( Yeisy was always quick to answer my questions, so I'm sad that she is gone. I hope whoever replaces her is good too!

Hey Girls! Does anyone know if there is an option to do just appetizers/hors d'oeuvres instead of dinner at the reception?

I'm really stressing out about this "3 hour" reception thing. How do you have enough time to eat, cut the cake, do speeches, toss the bouquet/garter, mother/father dances AND still party it up? impossible! Plus, I feel like it will be a waste to spend a ton of money on a DJ when we will hardly have time to dance (a DJ & Dancing is pretty high on our priority list) Fi is against having dinner in one of the restaurants do I dont know what to do! Anyone else running into this problem? Help please!

They are very strict on the 3 day thing (for a symbolic ceremony too!) because the WC needs to meet with you ahead of time to make final decisions. Then she needs time to prepare everything for you. I know it sucks but it's just one of those things you have to work around.

Even though you do not need to book a judge, you still need the resort to reserve your date. They do 2 weddings a day and once those get booked, the date is no longer available. I booked a year in advance and there were limited dates for the month I wanted.

Did anyone else speak to the WC about the length of the reception? Yeisy told me 3 hours was the max because the workers have to catch a bus by 11pm. I'm really bummed about this because 3 hours is WAYY too short. We would have to cut out all the tradtional stuff just to have enough time to dance. Did anyone hear something different?

wait, does that mean when you book a DJ through the resort, you get him? I just spoke to DJ Mannia this morning and he told me it would be $850 for 4 hours (which is over my budget as well! & according to Yeisy, a 3 hour reception is the max) So does this mean it will be cheaper through the resort? Any info would be appreciated! thanks =)

Hi Girls! I have been looking all over for cheap customized koozies or cups/mugs. We have a very tight budget but I would really like to give these to our guests. I would only need about 45 and most sites require you order 100+. I did find one site that allows you to buy 50 but the price is much lower if you buy more. Â Would anyone be interested in splitting an order with me? I am OK with keeping them pretty generic. Maybe something like Punta Cana 2010 (that way it wouldnt be specific to me or my date) I also like the "to have and to hold, and keep your beer cold" Â Or if anyone knows of a site that has cheap stuff and a low minimum order, that would be appreciated! I am looking to keep it around $.99 per item. Â thanks! =)

Oh man, that stinks! Did they say you could take down the pictures? Those are what bother me the most. And I'm sure you can fit a lot of people in that room, but I saw pictures of a wedding with 45 people and there was VERY little room for dancing. Cant wait to see the pictures, thanks again! =) Â

Does anyone know if you get to choose between the two ballrooms? I've seen pictures of the smaller one with the purple walls and I really don't like the decor. Plus it looks a little too small for 45 guests. I know there are multiple wedding per day, so I'm afraid I won't be able to get the ballroom that I want. Any help is appreciated! thanks!

Hi Girls! I need some help from my fellow Dreams Palm Beach Brides.. (i feel like there's not many of us!). I am wondering if anyone knows the set up of tables for the reception. I want to get this figured out so I can do my seating chart. Yeisy, the WC, told me they used round tables that sat 8-10 people, but I saw another brides pictures and they had this set-up.. Â Â Â So can we do whatever we want? What are the options? Please help! Â Thanks! =)

It ties in the back into a long bow. here is the link. By the way, just incase your interested in the dress, they say it's Taffeta but it's not really. I hate Taffeta! This "tafetta" material feels like a paper towel actually, LOL. I agree with Chelymo... I've been dealing with Yeisy since day 1 and she has been awesome! I actually chose this resort based on how quickly I was getting responses from Yeisy. For the first couple of months I was getting responses within hours of sending my e-mail. I try to keep the questions as simple as possible, due to the language barrier Chelymo mentioned. Sometimes her answers were unclear but I would just try to ask again in a way she might understand better. I always make sure to show her my appreciation because I know how busy they are. I know it's hard, but just be patient and in the mean time, take advantage of the girls on here! They are amazing & so helpful!
