Not sure what to do - my MIL is going to be putting on my shower. She's thinking of having the shower AFTER the wedding BEFORE the AHR because she wants to invite guests that are not invited to the Destination Wedding but are invited to the AHR. I don't think we need to do that after the wedding - I feel we can invite anybody from either list and have it before... Any thoughts on this?? Can past brides share what they did??? If you had your shower before your Destination Wedding and invited all guests can you tell me how you worded it? I'm trying to figure out how to explain to my MIL that it's ok..it's a Destination Wedding..things are different...??? H E L P!!! I DO NOT want to wait and have shower after wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully this makes sense..I feel it seems a bit confusing...

I was getting quotes from Deco Cancun too but it seems to be a pain! All I want is somebody to drape fabric on the Gazebo..maybe I can buy my own fabric and have somebody hang it..? I don't like it when they put the flowers on it..

I will be wearing flat sandals..working on finding a pair - it's not an easy task! Don't want to wear flip flops..but a nice pair of sandals..?? Any suggestions besides Zappos?? So hard.. My bm's are wearing heels - and for the reception I bought them dressy flip flops I found at Target!

You ordered them and they put them on the posts like that? Love it!! Do you think having two posts with eight lights on each would be too much??

Have you ever had your makeup done before? I have a really hard time with somebody else doing it - the one thing you don't want is to not look like yourself. One of the brides on this forum had a makeup lesson done with Bobby Brown & she practiced all the way leading up to her wedding - by the time her wedding day came she was a pro and it looked amazing!! That is what I plan on doing..I need that lesson on how to do more for photos etc. but don't want to look like somebody else..ya know?? As far as your hair - I am a hairstylst myself..and I agree..it can be tricky. I would suggest you do a trial with your stylist that you normally see and take LOTS of pictures. I would also try (I know it's hard because it's important to you) to not worry too much about it. If it is such a concern and so built up - you won't be happy with it. One thing you might want to consider is it is VERY windy down there..a beachy look would have to be touched up - the wind is gonna pull that curl right out. Just a thought.

TRUST ME - it's NEVER too early to be on this site. It has been AMAZING to me and we have been inspired by SO many brides..my wedding will be just amazing thanks to all the brides on this site - and because I started early!! We originally were gonna send Save The Date's but decided it was a waste of money...to be totally honest people are gonna want to know how much - until you know that probably everybody will say "Yes" they are coming...it doesn't become real until they have a number. I just don't think it's practical for people to tell you 100% without knowing anything..a lot can happen in a year. We are just gonna get our invites out as soon as possible!! Hopefully in the next month or two... So..I don't think it's wrong to ask - I just don't think it's realistic at all.

We aren't really Ocean people - I like to look at it but our group will be very comfortable at the Pool Bar!! I honestly try not to read those reviews..some people complain about EVERYTHING..when you are there with family, friends, and sunshine - I feel like it will be really hard to complain!! I'm pretty sure we are set for January 24th, 2012..I'm sure I'll send out a HUGE CELEBRATION post once it's a done deal!! Thank you SO much..I'm loving the BM dresses more and more..and I just LOVE the ring!!

Really?? It's in the Knot magazine??! I'll have to pick it up - that is exciting!! Too funny..one of my BM's is pregnant and having a C-Section in April. My wedding isn't until January but we are ordering them hopefully this month. The Bridal Salon suggested my pregnant BM come in and they will measure her chest - order that size & have to do alterations later! It took me a year to find something I liked and I LOVE this dress. I don't want to risk them getting discontinued!! I know it's early..but better early than late! As long as we have the order in they have to fill it regardless if it gets discontinued! Thanks - I love the ring too!!

I LOVE DRC but I know nothing about Azul..if you had your heart set on the ONE I wouldn't change. People will constantly suggest - trust your gut and if you liked Azul..go for it!!

I would say it's about a half hour to either town... I have to say - we did a site visit in January and it is breathe taking!!! I don't think people will be bored - there is a lot to do - lots of entertainment..we always say we're gonna go out but after you've been in the HOT sun drinking all day - it's exhausting and everybody ends up passing out!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Deck Area..because it is on the beach but not on the sand!! We did a site visit in January and I have to say I think it is the best option!! Here are some pics we took... Here is a pic from a view above - you can see the Gazebo & Deck Area..

I certainly know how you feel - I felt like it took forever. For me I stopped worrying about the number and just started posting - asking question..commenting on any new posts..trust me - once you start to be "active" and participate more you'll be at 150 before you know it!!
