  1. I like the flower, it adds some color to the whole package..my personal preference would be to have some of the titles or names on the other cards in blue as well. Great job!
  2. I used Ginger from BeyondDesign on Etsy for my STDs and invitations, she was great to work with and everything came promptly. If you decide to do DIY, there are TONS of templates and how-to's on here. Good luck!
  3. Events have to end by 10:30 at my resort. But I'm going to bring iPod speakers if people want to just hang out on the beach or head over to the resort's club. If you have a big enough party you might end up overtaking it anyway, and it'll be an extension of the private party
  4. I included an RSVP card because I, too, liked getting the replies in the mail for sure, and not everyone I invited had given me a definite yes by the time invitations were sent out. I still sent invitations to people I knew wouldn't come because I felt the gesture was still appropriate (that you do want them there) but the invitation also had information about the at-home reception, etc.
  5. Not necessarily, unless you have had something in mind for a long time.
  6. Pick a place where *you* will be happy having your ceremony and reception; if you try to please everyone, you might end up picking a place where you don't envision your wedding. Like previous posters, giving alternative locations at different price points is an option, or being flexible with the dates if rates will change at a certain time of the year. Good luck!
  7. Congrats and welcome to the forum! Under the "Destination Weddings in Riviera Maya, etc" header on this forum there is a thread for DPA brides where past and upcoming brides are posting. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/27596/dreams-puerto-aventuras-brides-post-here/2320 Happy planning!
  8. It's definitely something to think about when choosing resorts, if the outdoor location is not possible, some indoor options may or may not be as good. Your wedding coordinator should have a plan b and c just in case. Good luck!
  9. Congrats, welcome, and happy planning! You and your guest will have plenty of time to save money and vacation time to have a great experience! It does go by fast!
  10. Congrats, welcome, and happy planning! You should find tons of information on the resorts on here.
  11. Congratulations and welcome to the forum! You'll find tons of great information here, there should be reviews around if you search for them.
  12. I think either pink or orange would look great, "citrus"y colors would complement the aqua and green. Pink would make it a little softer, orange would make it brighter. The centerpiece idea looks great!
  13. Michaels has perforated cardstock in the shape of a circle, oval, or square with access to templates that you can use to print them out. They also have punch outs in different shapes that you cut from cardstock and print your logo on.
  14. I would not do the staple; if you think the jacket is enough, it should be fine, otherwise tying it with raffia/etc would work.
  15. I liked Maggie Sottero's, Allure's (Far and Away) and Mori Lee's (Voyage, but Blu can also work) destnation collections
  16. I got a lot of my items from minimus.biz (medicine packets, gatorade powder, etc) The dollar tree store for sudoku books Wal-mart for $1 photo books that I'll use as a welcome booklet, meet the guests pages, etc Bath & body works for anti-bacterial gel ($1 each)
  17. Thanks for sharing, everything looks great! Congrats!!
  18. Thanks for sharing, everything looks great! A lot of work, but I'm sure your guests loved everything!
