Make sure to check out the actual photographer you will be gettings portfolio. Not the resort portfolio as you want to know what the person you get will do for you! I would perhaps consider taking someone with you!

Its never a good idea to leave photography in the hands of a none pro! Only because after your wedding that's all that's left are the memories your photographer captured for you!!! I get a lot of people who come to me to do trash the dress and day after sessions because they went with a budget photographer and they hate the photos the photog produced. Wedding photography isn't something a novis can do! If budget is a big concern maybe see if you can register with a photographer so your guests can help pay for the photogs fee. I hope your images no matter what way you decide to go turn out amazing!!!!
