If you are having your reception outside I don't think a dance floor in necessary...might help you save money. We also bought ribbon online and made chair ties to take down. The chairs are in good shape so you prob wouldn't need chair covers.

I would def try to get as much booked as possible so you have first pick on where you want all your events to be.

I did. We just had people room together. It is pretty expensive if you are by yourself. My photographer ended up staying with one of my good single friends and now they are actually good friends. Or maybe your future brother in law needs to get himself a girlfriend!

On the way to the rehearsal dinner the WC had a golf cart pick us up from the room to the terrace. And after the wedding she took us in a golf cart back to our room. Our guest were always able to find a golf cart or get on a shuttle.

I don't know about any of the ocean views. It is newer. We all stayed on the Nizuc side. I liked it because it was in the middle and nothing seemed that far. We walked almost everywhere except when we had functions. Then they made sure we had a shuttle.

Yes. We had just as many as a normal wedding would.

I didn't run into this problem. My TA set up everyone's transfer and I was under the impression that she just applied the charges to their cards when they booked their room. If this was a problem nobody said anything to me about it.

Yes it was very windy. I couldn't wait to take my veil off. I think you trade off the privacy of not being in the middle of a bunch of hotel rooms for some wind. I guess it just depends which you would prefer. I wanted it to be as close to the beach as possible without actually being on the beach. It made for nice pictures.

When we left for our wedding (on a Tuesday) the forecast for that Saturday was 80% chance of rain. It didn't rain once while we were in Mexico...which was two weeks. It can always change!

Our wedding was at 5 and we had a cocktail hour and reception that was three hours at Tucan garden and Terrace. The lighting that is already there is plenty.

We also used the vacation dollars for the video. It isn't amazing but it's kind of nice because we can actually here what was being said. I couldn't understand a word in the wedding because of the acoustics in the chapel. It's also nice to see the guest and what was going on while we were taking pictures and what not.

We had Valeria too. She wasn't our original but she had everything organized when we got there and everything went smoothly.

I wrote my contact in Miami about 5 or 6 months before and she told me I had to wait three months. I wrote her back and told her I just wanted to get my events booked and I wasn't going to hound the on site WC with questions. Then she gave me her email address.

We cleared off the space in the bathroom and hung my dress over the mirror in there. There is a mirror on the wall too and our photographer said it made for good lighting.

I did not have a problem with mosquitoes (4/16) but it also didn't rain when i was there.

We were told our wedding party could cut them off and keep them with no charge. I cut mine off and didn't have a problem when we met up with people later on in the evening.

Your mother in law sounds like mine! She told me the same things and said she wasn't going to wear her's. When we got to the resort she did though so she must have felt safe. I didn't swim with mine ever but I never do. I put my e-ring, our wedding bands, phones, computers, birth certificates, passports, and my mother' s pearls in the safe everyday and everything was always there!

I really don't think there is much to worry about. I think most of the violence is on the the other side and in border towns. I never felt unsafe. My Mom and stepdad also went to Tulum and to swim with dolphins and didn't say anything about being scared. We had several people go in to town too. I think that if you are smart and aware you shouldn't have a problem. I honestly think that most of the violence has to do with drug trafficking. So if you plan to stay clear of that I don't think you should have a problem. People are going to be concerned though not matter what. You just have to tell them if they are smart travelrs there is no reason to be.

Yes they will do whatever color. I asked for mine without a bow and it looked great. I added a pin to the bottom of mine for my "something borrowed" and it was returned.

We got our DVD Wednesday the 27th and were married on the 16th.

It was free wifi and I didn't get charged by AT&T. Just be sure and turn your data roam off so you can't get text or calls. I will see if my Mom has some pics of my hair. She knew what a poof was but I just think maybe that she like her hair a little tighter to her head. My girl here gave me a big Texas poof so it would show up in pictures. It was just a tip.
