Cambridge here! Getting married January 10, 2011 at the Majestic Colonial.

Lisa - no set workout plan...but that might have to change! I always seem to find other things to do over workout! Are you doing any specific workouts? Any other ladies doing anything that has been working for them?

Hey everyone! We have the ceremony/dinner/reception locations booked, and have just finished our Save the Dates, will be sending them out Monday. Went with the boarding pass Save the Dates, so far a few people have seen them and LOVE them. I have my dress, Sophia Tolli - Skye, should be in in a few months now, and I can't wait!! I am only having two bridesmaids, and they are super easy going. We will be heading out shopping soon, I can't really see dresses being an issue, I'm not picky either, so what ever they want will be fine, as long as it is Aqua in colour. Big things to get done are to decide and book a photographer and DJ...I am also getting started early on my OT bags for guests, hard to do with out having a number confirmed, but I want to get things slowly as I see them. And the last thing is to get my butt to the gym...running out of time before we will be on the beach, and I definately have some pounds to shed!

I am having a symbolic ceremony at the gazebo at 5...I wanted 4 but couldn't get it, so we will just have to make due! We are doing dinner at the steakhouse, and then renting the Parrot Bar for a private reception. I am still deciding if we should go with a DJ or just use the Ipod. Thanks for the tip on itravel, I called them today to see what they come back with. We are hoping to get everything booked soon as we are probably expecting about 30-35 people. Congrats on booking PhotoPhil Lisa! One of my old co-workers just used him for her wedding and WOW, amazing work. I had originally contacted him for pricing and to see if he was available on the 11th (the original wedding date I wanted, but couldn't get at the hotel), and he was, but now that I am on the 10th I have to re-check with him. He had told me that he had a wedding on the 13th at the Colonial, I guess you are the lucky bride he was talking about!

Cristina I'm not sure about rates for Spring, but I have been getting group rates coming back around $1,600 per person for early January my travel agent suggested to wait a little bit but that normally the sale/last minute rates aren't that much cheaper and sometimes aren't available for the Colonial. Not sure if this is true...but it's what I was told. Congrats on your engagement!! Good luck with everything! Lisa and Pam - glad to hear from some January brides!! What location and times did you go with for your ceremonies? Are you doing a private dinner or reception?

Hello ladies! I just wanted to thank everyone for all of your posts on here, reading through everything helped me FINALLY make a decision on a resort....and I just got confirmation for our wedding on January 10, 2011 at the Majestic Colonial! Now everything seems real, and I can't wait to get all of the details worked out!

Hi Ladies!! We are looking at mid January 2011 for our date, at Dreams La Romana. Once the date is definate I can get the Save the Dates completed and sent out!
