i just heard back from yamina yesterday she said they've been extremely busy this week with weddings. @ GCR2011 - that's so exciting!! you are so close!!! I'm sure you'll be hearing from them very soon!

Has anyone heard from yamina lately??? I've been emailing her the past few weeks and have yet to get a response... am wondering if shes left and there is a new wedding coordinator now? thanks!

We were able to reserve our date very easily and quickly, though we reserved well in advance (about 18 months actually haha). We've also got more than 35 people coming and are renting a private space (the pool deck). So far its looking like it will cost us an extra 60/person. I have requested that we don't have a cocktail hour and use the including cost for that towards extra meals. Right now we have the included package and will decide on upgrading once were closer to the wedding. Don't stress too much... i know its easy to get overwhelmed but they really seem to know what they are doing.. they just do it all last minute.

Im using Elizabeth Medina as my photographer. It was deffinitely a fight but i finally got it in writing that i could use her with no added fee from the hotel. I would just make a strong case as to why you need an outside photographer and be very firm in your request. Just make sure you get it in writing! I also am paying for a room at dreams for elizabeth at the hotel the night of hte wedding and will be adding her as a guest too. good luck!

Id put it towards something for my guests... maybe entertainment at the reception or a catamaran cruise or excursion!!! I think its such a nice touch to treat all of your guests to something a little extra as just another thank you for spending the time/money to travel to your wedding but then that's just me. and id definitely put it towards the wedding since it was gifted with the intention it would be used for the wedding.
