    I do not have something borrowed yet, but I still have time. I have blue underwear. The dress, shoes, and flip flops are new. The old is apart of my mother's wedding dress will be sewn into my dress up by my heart.

    Here is my 2cents. I do not like that word step in front of a family members name. Just like I do not like half brother or sister and I am sure you do not call your sisters half sister. This is just something that was a no no in my family. With this being said I would put daddy too or parents. DO NOT allow anyone make you feel bad and/or uncomfortable about how you handle your wedding day!

    The reason I do not mind paying the money for the couple that is staying at another resort is because I DO NOT LIKE HIM! He is the best man. My FI knows I do not like him and would have no problem to pay the money for them to come for the day. Plus they have a bad @zz daughter(4) that they act like they can not control. So the less time I have to spend around them while there the better.

    Welcome! Maybe you will be able to find something in your price range, but I know from my past work in the travel industry. The holidays are considered to be peak/prime time for resorts so do not be surprise if the rates are high than you expect.

    The only downside is that they do not have any property's in the Caribbean.

    Thanks ladies for the help! Not that I wanted to cry at work first thing this morning. lol Now I know how to make sure there is some part of my father at my wedding.

    One couple is not going to stay at the hotel. I found out we are going to have to pay $75 per person for them to come to our wedding.

    Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I picked a island that I have been wanting to go to for awhile now. I did not want to pick an island that I had already been to before.

    I am paying for my MOH dress. I am trying to find something since she is full figured that she would wear again. I do not have an BM's.

    You can do chocolate, pink, gray, gold, silver, green(lime or teal), and tan.

    Sorry but I think it is tacky to ask for money only as a gift. Alot of my family will not be able to come to the wedding so I will register at 2-3 places so they will have a variety to choose from. I know right off there are some that will just send a check. It is up to them to choose what they want to do.

    I was not happy with what I have seen of the cake that the resort does so I did some research and talk to people about local bakeries. Someone told me about a local bakery. I have contacted them about cakes and prices. We will continue to talk the closer it gets to the date. I will go to see him the day we arrive so I can pick out flavors and colors. He told me that he wants me to be totally happy with the cake with no disappointments.

    I am sending out 100 invites. I think about 30-40 will show. My family still would want to send a gift if they can not come. I will register at Bed Bath and Beyond, Macys and maybe Crate and Barrel.

    I am too in the market for something in my area. I went to a very well known store in the Northern VA area. I did not like it because the customer service SUCKED! I would like to wear there navy blue Hanky Panky's that I have seen. I still have some time to look for the bra or corset. That night I would like a very nice garter with stockings.
