Our TA checked with a few different companies, and this one was the cheapest. Our wedding is in Nov, and we booked part way through Feb. I was pretty happy with the price, Dreams Tulum was my #1 choice but I thought it would be completely out of our price range. I submitted 3 different resorts to get pricing and DT was the cheapest of the 3 (and by far the nicest!). I was ecstatic!

Hello and welcome! Have fun planning your wedding, you will find piles of info on this forum! Congratulations!

Yikes! That does seem quite high. We will be flying from Van, BC as well and our pkg was considerably lower. Like almost 1/2 the price!

Mimi83, can't wait to see the dress! I am a bit annoyed right now. When I ordered my dress from Gianninar they only took 3 weeks to send the proof pics, then I asked them to add beading....that was on May 20th! I sent them an email on Fri, and they replied right away, apologizing and told me the new proof photos would be sent in three days. I am sure they just forgot about it!!! I am impressed that they always seem to reply quickly, but I just thought anyone who is ordering a dress, or going to order a dress needs to email, email and email!! I am glad that I fibbed and told them I need the dress for July rather than the actually.. but if my wedding was actually in July I would be FREAKING OUT right now!!

Woohoo! Congratulations! This forum will be your newest addiction

And her response: The reception dinner is included for 3 hours, is necessary to pay additional cost for extra hour $15usd+tax+service per person. But based of people's reviews, it always seems like your dinner starts at 6:30 and they let you stay till 10:30. Should I just ignore Aurora and assume I'll be ok and not have to pay another $15/per person fee. Because that's absolutely ridiculous, they really do try to take every single penny from you. Also, I asked for dahlia flowers, and she said they won't have those, but they'll have 'polares', what the HECK are those Finally, did any of you recently married brides successfully get to use the $20 menu, and if so, how? Because she once again claimed I can ONLY use the silver or gold menu. I'd like to know the answer to the reception question too! That is the assumption that I was under... I thought you only paid extra for the 'private bar service' to stay open, but I figure the last hour people can just use the resort bar for free. We also have a DJ coming onsite for the dinner and reception music. Crap! It seems like every time I turn around more money is being asked for!

Congratulations on the engagement and welcome! This forum has become my obsession, and I am sure that you will find it invaluable. We are booked to wed at the Dreams Tulum resort. I am very happy with this resort decision, but I am sure that wherever you decide upon, you will find tons of info here. Have fun planning!

So funny Mimi83 and Mimi73 similar names both went for similar dresses. Mimi73 have you received your dress yet? Hello! I received the one that I ordered off of ebay (not from Gianninar) and will be making a few alterations to the style. The other dress (from Gianninar) I am still waiting for them to send me proof photos of the beading. I imagine it should be soon. I told them I needed it for July.... even though the wedding is really in Nov I'll keep you ladies posted. I LOVE seeing everyone dresses so far!

They give you a beach bag...
mimi73 replied to bobbysgirl's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I would just go with the paper bags, any way to save money You could still print your logo on the bag for aesthetics. You could use the money you save on a spa treatment -

Have you received yours yet? If so, how did it turn out? The dress turned out quite nice. It fit pretty close to perfect. I am going to get some alterations done, only because I want the dress to fit a bit more 'trumpet-y' than the style is. The lace looks a little different than the photo, but I was expecting that. All in all I would recommend the experience. This dress was from best-love-u on ebay, and I am still waiting for one from Gianninar.

This seller is Cloudshow on eBay, and has 100% positive feedback, so that helps alleviate my fear somewhat, but I'm still so worried. I'll keep you guys updated. I'm already looking into how to file a complaint with PayPal, for just in case. Lol. Hi Mimi83, love the dress!... and just had to say that I also ordered a Jim Hjelm dress knockoff (8801) from Ebay. I thought it was kinda funny that our login names are so similar and that we have both picked the same designer Good luck on everything, I am sure it will be fine, but I do agree, it is super stressful!
