NO worries I walked onto the plane with my real touch flowers in hand lolol no one bothered me and they most certainly wont bother you at the resort....I actually brought 8 tall glass vases with me...4 of them broke by the time I got there. THe onsite WC was very understanding and offered me similar vases at 4 buxs a piece, they were very accomodating. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the quality of the flowers that come with the wedding package for free. I loved my bouquet from the resort! The real touch bouquet that I purchased from Wedideas I didn't like very much at all ...it was so small and looked liked a bridesmaid bouquet so I passed it to my MOH and it was perfect. BTW there are sooo many little knick knacks in the cancun malls (i.e. maracas for a buck) that you can save yourselves some of the hassle of shipping those big items with you. Along with my dress we had about 5 bags to check ...we just ended up upgrading to first class so that we wouldn't have to pay all the extra and overweight baggage fees.

lol sorry everyone calls it something different ....I usually do them myself but my cousin did it this time...basically its a wig with the top out...I first leave out a small amount of hair at the front/top, on the sides and in the back...I braid the rest of my hair down then wrap black sanex strips around and put on a black stocking/wig cap. After that I sew the cap on with needle and thread going throughout the braids. After that the weave is glued on to the cap and when we get to the top (by then the cap should be glued on pretty tight) we cut out the front part that covers the top of my hair I leave out. It sounds more confusing then it is lol I've been doing it for about 5 years now and get them everytime I go on vacation washing the weave and everything (I also go swimming with it but not alot). It always last me anywhere from 3-4 weeks especially if you have a good brand of weave. My fav is goddess REmy

HI ladies It's been awhile since I've made any post to this thread but my wedding is over and my split cap weave was a success....I got married in Mexico at Azul Sensatori hotel ....I took a chance and allowed them to do my hair and makeup and I was so glad I did, they did an AMAzzzZING job....I had to help the stylist out with straigtening my top a little but she did everything else and it was gorgeous...my photographer has really great shots of my hair and as soon as I get them I will post but for now this is all I have good luck and don't stress too much about the hair thing just make sure you have a good flat iron

yes the video was all my fiance's idea it was a definite for him ...we actually booked Mike Cantarell first and he gave us a rate that was different (better) than what the resort was offering us and we went back to the resort and they ok it and him ....it is $1650 and the package includes Bride Getting Ready. -Ceremony. -Bride and groom. -Wedding Party. -Session by the beach -Cocktail. -Reception -5 hours of cameraman service continuous time. -Master in DVD with interactive menus , 60 min long BTW ladies ....MY WEDDING IS in exactly two weeks and I still have not paid them and its not our fault ...they are very very slothful so anyone worried about that ...DONT LOL

Hey Ladies...I'm sure its been bought up before but has anyone done the BBQ deluxe buffet for their reception or cocktail hour? ...we were thinking about having it for our welcome party...There is a lot of food listed but I'm unsure as to how much food they actually give you... if its a pp rate do they make just one peice of steak for each person ? I'm confused btw CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE UPCOMING NOVEMBER BRIDES!!!!

We actually purchased our own organza and it was about 50 buxs. Its more than enough to cover the gazebo from the measurements they gave us ....heres the website we used http://www.bbcrafts.com/Premium+Crystal+Organza+Fabrics/058e3c3c-c511-4a5e-8a54-9a377e30a523~.html BTW the organza is absolutely beautiful i cant wait to see it all come together with our crystal curtain hanging in the back:)

HI ladies, I am terrible at keeping up with this forum, i snoop around every now and again but I just don't have the patience to read every single thing LOL. Anyway, my fiance found a site to a woman's pictures of the resort which are by far THE BEST PICS i have seen since i booked my wedding back in February. There are great shots of various locations and even the wedding set ups at the resort. I know there a lot of new brides to the site so I thought it may help with a picture of what your day may look like. This forum was a great help to me in my beginning stages of planning and now we're only 7 weeks away!!!! so exciting

hey ladies I just wanted to know if anyone has considered renting centerpieces or getting flowers from a flower shop in mexico....I did ask my WC and of course she said they dont allow outside vendors but if you pick them up and bring them with you how will they know...idk just wanted to see if anyone else has considered this option

THis is the same thing I am going through, my FI refuses to pay for a AHR bc he feels that if ppl didnt make an effort to try to come to our wedding why should we go through extra measures to accommodate them. I understand his point being as though we currently have 70 ppl booked and only 7 of my family members/friends will be there which annoys me but I cant be too upset b/c I knew that going in. Bottom line we chose a destination wedding bc we could not afford the 400 person wedding I would have had at home, yes we want to include our friends and families but if its going to be stress and more money than we will defeat the purpose. At the end of the day its about you and your new husband. just my thoughts Oh and if you havent already you should check out the reviews on trip advisor for the Banyan Tree I'm really swaying in that direction the idea of a private villa with a private pool is sooo appealing its what I think of when i think Honeymoon LOL
