Hi Ladies I have a bit of problem. My FI still has not gotten his and GM attire. He would like to wear cargo shorts and button up shirts. I'm not worried about the shirt but short season has long passed. I have been looking on line but not sure where to start. Do you guys have any suggestions on where to find shorts this time of year? Help, thanks!!

I had Brandi as a consultant at C&C and loved her!!!!! I went in there with something in mind and she kept bringing me dresses that she would see what I like and ended up with my dress. I love it soooo much and can't wait till it comes in so I can try it on again. Star I hope you have a better time trying on dresses and I agree with Sandy that Beautiful Bride and Blissful Bride are great too.

So sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. I have gone to Ethos and I also went with a friend. We both had an ok time but we weren't there on a busy Sat. I have also heard other horror stories about Ethos, seems like hit and miss with them. I bought my dress at Cameo and Cuff links and really enjoyed each time I went in there. Hope you can find your dress at one of the other stores because you deserve to be treated speical when looking for your wedding dress. Good luck!!!!

I agree that for the short amount of time it took to write out the thank you cards and address them it really isn't too time consuming. I just finished my shower thank you's and I really enjoyed looking through everything again. I also have everyone's address saved on my computer from when we mailed out our invites.

I totally understand the cultural thing but unfortunatly it's not the case. The way I'm use to showers is that the shower hosted by my MOH is for the brides family and friends or just friends. Quite often someone from the grooms side would host one as well if they wanted to but not at all neccessary. I have never been to a shower that is similar to the wedding reception except for my cousin who married an italian. I did ask my FI cousin if this was the way showers where handled for past weddings in the family and they were just like mine.

I had my shower this past weekend. It was put on by my bridesmaids and my mom. I gave the girls a list of who to invite which included my close family and friends as well as my FI mom, sister and cousin who I am close to. I really didn't want it to be a large party because I didn't want the girls to spend a lot of $$$ on the shower. The night before my shower I went to pick up gifts from my registry. They were from my FI aunts and cousin (who I have never met) and the cards said - so sorry we couldn't make it to your shower - I didn't invite them. At my shower FI mother was miffed that they were the only ones from his side of the family there. Later I find out that his mother took it upon herself to invite FI complete extended family , none of who live anywhere close to us and I have only met a small number of them. I'm pretty shocked that she did this and not sure how to approach it. Of course I will be sending thank you cards for the gifts that I did receive. I feel that she has really over stepped the boundary's and that if it was that important to her to have his family included than she should've planned something. What's a girl to do.....

Hi Girls I hope everyone had a great weekend I had my bridal shower on Sat, I know it's early but I had a lot of people traveling and didn't want to chance it later in the winter. Anyways besides all the great gifts that I got I had to tell you guys about what one of my bridesmaids got me. It's a gift certificate for I'm a Mrs, it's a website that helps you make your name change after you get married www.imamrs.com I've never heard of it but thought it was a fantastic idea. I got home from work today and crashed on the couch I even had all my stuff ready to bring. I thought my FI would be home on time and wake me up but he ended up working really late

Hey Girls For those of you that got the Yoga deal, just wanted to let you know that you need to go to the studio to set up your profile and then you are able to register for classes online. I can only imagine how quickly the classes will fill up.

Hi Girls!!! I wasn't going to chance my wedding pics to just anyone or one of my guests!!! I have hired a photog from TO who is coming with us and I don't think that the cost is that much. We are also doing TTD while we are there. I really recomend researching a bunch because I found a huge difference in prices. PM me if you want any info or if you are interested in sharing

Hi Girls!!! I'm not a DR bride but I am getting married Feb 2011. We are going to Cuba - Holguin. We have 33 ppl booked, I have my dress and shoes. Still need to get jewelry. We are doing the non legal ceremony and getting married shortly before we go. I still have to decide on favors. Not sure what to do. I was thinking of doing a donation to the Cancer Society. Can't believe that it is coming up so quickly. Happy planning everyone

Hi Girls I can't make it tonight. We only have 1 vehicle, FI truck was suppose to be fixed yesterday (hail dents) we went to pick it up last night and the interior started smoking and we thought it was going to catch on fire infront of us Apparently it's the wiring from the alarm, not sure if they cut a wire when fixing the dents and not sure when it will be fixed. Hope you girls have fun and will see you next month

Hey Pam  Thanks for the info. I'm leaning towards taking it to Connie, I've heard good things Definitly love the idea of the sweetheart neckline!!! My dress is sweetheart and it really looks great. My dress should be here around Dec (I hope) since we are getting married in Feb. Hope to hear how it goes for you. I too have some weight to loose and hope that I can do that before - man it's tuff!!! I'm an emotional eater so I'm sure it's going to get harder the closer we get to the day. Â

Hey Pam  I agree with Boo, you have to get the dress that you love and take into consideration the timeline. I personally love the DB dress, I think you look HOT in it!! But go with your gut and make sure whichever dress you choose you won't be thinking of the other.  Good luck, let us know how it goes
