I can't believe I miss this thread lol... I am also a Dec bride. My wedding is Dec. 29th. I am so excited can't believe the date is just around the corner. You girls have done a wonderful job planning it seems like some of you guys have almost everything. I have to be honest I am still not ready, I am missing several things like my flower girls dresses, accessories for me and little details. I read several girls where interested ordering maracas, I order from the same company they are great maracas specially for price and they have great customer service. I was able to get all the maracas in a turquoise color. I added our name and date with a special pen and also added little tags that says Shake them to kiss. I think its a great party favor. I will take a picture and show you guys. I received the maracas less than a week.

I am also using them for my guest not to sink into the sand with the high heels. I would also think they are used like other girls said in this forum because the sand gets very hot.

I want to update: I have left 20 days to give the hotel the final count down. I email all my guest that hasn't RSVP and some people reply and others didn't. I really recommend calling all your guest once you are getting closer to the date. I was at 54 and now I am at 64 guest and a few more pending. Good luck everyone b/c I really don't think people get the concept of RSVP.

Sorry to hear about that, I am not sure how Pricilla selects her clients but I my self contacted them to coordinate my wedding and Pricilla's husband reply back that they couldn't coordinate my wedding due to the reason that I had book the wedding site and they have to book everything them selves. I am not sure how they work. I ended up going with Vallarta Wedd Planners I haven't had any problems and Paula is great. Let me know if you would like her contact info.

I am also getting the same comments many of my guest are getting concern with all the latest news. Any recent brides that just had their wedding tell us how was your trip. I have attend many times and its always been safe but I am wondering if it's anything different now?

The other comparisons I can give you is like in our area theirs safe zones and unsafe zones. Theirs neighborhoods I don't cross b/c I know they are known for having gangs so I will use this comparison the same as for Mexico. I hope this helps you. Theirs crime every where. It's just knowing your areas. Or you might consider other places like Vallarta or Cabo I haven't heard anything bad about those areas.

I am not getting married in Cancun, I am getting married in Vallarta and I recently started listening to all the bad news of Mexico. I started getting concern and I don't want to place any of my guest in danger either, I want everyone to be safe and have a good time so I research and like the other lady's from this forum said it's not in tourist locations. If you really want to have your wedding in Cancun and you don't feel that Cancun is safe maybe you might want to change it to Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Isla mujeres where its much quieter and peaceful. I know when I went to Cancun 2 years ago our hotel recommended us not to go out side hotel zone after 10pm and also not to attend clubs or bars outside the hotel zone. My recommendation is to stay in tourist areas. People that work in Hotel zones most take care of their tourist b/c that's how the make their living and they need tourist in order to survive. I had a great experience with our hotel they took very well care of us.

I am having the same problem I have 2 months left before my wedding and I have many guest that haven't rsvp. It's hard b/c I am taking flip flops and welcome bags and it gets hard not having a final count. I recently sent an email reminder for everyone to mail out their RSVP checking Yes we are attending or Regrets not attending. I got a few back, and other people email me their answer and other guest never replied. So I assumed it's because they are not attending. Well in my bridal shower I had people saying they are attending or might attend. It's very hard so I totally understand what you are going through.

I actually google the owner of the group Edgar Echevarria Live Entertainment and you can contact him he can probably send you videos of their music and performance let him know I recommended you, he is very cool has given me better prices for way less, like I really wanted a pista iluminada but was way to pricey but he gave it to me for half the price. I think they are less since they are located in Guadalajara and prices are way more in Vallarta b/c its a tourist place.
