  1. For sale: The following 3 vases. Just bought them for my sand ceremony and realized they weren't big enough. I paid 18$ and will sell for 20$ including shipping (I'm in Canada) or best offer. They are very cute! Each vase is 5cm X 5cm X 10cm high. Each one will hold about 1/2 pound of sand. Please PM me if interested.

  7. I'm looking for 70 dark turquoise chair saches. Anyone? :-)
  8. All 65 of us are staying at the Colonial. Both the Colonial and Kantenah are identical. For us, the colonial was just best situated on the resort, closer to everything we needed but the Kantenah wouldn't be very far anyway. I can't wait 2 more months until our departure!
  9. To those of you who have gotten married at the GP Riviera Maya... Could you share how the ceremony went? I never get a straight answer from my wedding planner and I'd really like to finish working on our programs. What order did they do things? Did you have the hand ceremony? Sand ceremony? Any help would be great
  10. Hi! I'm wondering how everyone is paying their vendors on their wedding day. Most of them ask for a deposit via PayPal and for the balance in cash or travelers' cheques to be paid on the wedding day. I don't feel confortable traveling to Mexico with a few thousand dollars to pay our vendors. I thought about paying them before we leave on PayPal, but then I'm scared they would just take the money and not show up on our wedding day. What did you do?
  11. Hello! We are looking for a singer for our wedding ceremony. We do not want the typical mexican music or singer.. we are looking more for an american style and sound. Does anyone know of any wedding singers in the Riviera Maya area? Thanks!
  12. Hi all! I'm from New Brunswick but have been living in Montreal for the last year and a half. We are getting married at the Grand Palladium in Riviera Maya on March 31st, 2011! I cannot wait
  13. I think we've finally decided on the bridesmaid dresses: It's Bari Jay in the color ''Coral''. It seems more pink in this picture but it is a tiny bit more orangey in real life. Initially, the BMs dresses were to get turquoise but we couldn't find a dress in the right color that fit well and that we liked... so we switched it to orange/coral. Our colors are turquoise and orange, so it fits well anyway.
  14. Hi girls! Â Do any of you know where I could buy a short lenght wedding dress? I've called a few stores (including the one where I bought my wedding dress) and none of them have short dresses. Â I need a 2nd dress for the party and would like it to be white and have a bridal feel to it. Â Thanks for any advice!
  15. Has anyone been in touch with Jen from Turtle Bay Bakery lately? I'm having a hard time getting a response from her... She told me she was on vacation quite a few weeks ago and I never heard anything back....
  16. I finally decided to buy my own starfish... my name can me taken off the list. I'm sad that I won't be participating in this tradition, but I was scared that the little guy wouldn't be in great shape as it seems to be falling appart. Hopefully this tradition will keep on going for a long time!!
  17. Aaaaaaaaaahh... I so don't know what to do anymore about the cocktail hour!!!! I'm expecting the ceremony|toast|group pictures to last from 4PM to 5:30PM... that would leave about 1 hour for the cocktail hour (if you add transportation and make sure everyone is set and ready for the reception at 7PM). I agree it doesn't leave a lot of time and that people could do whatever they want... but I feel that if we don't have a set schedule, people will just go back to their rooms, do their own thing and won't be at the reception for 7PM... our reception is going to be tight and we have a lot to do within 4 hours. I just don't know if the cocktail is worth the money, but I do want something planned to entertain our guests while we take our pictures.... Â
  18. Ariadna suggested that we hold our cocktail hour on the terasse of the sports bar. Has anyone seen it? If so... does it look ok? Â All of the other bars are open starting at 6PM... our cocktail our is from 5:30 to 6:30, which explains why we can't hold it at any of the regular bars. We could also have it at Las Rocas but there would be other guests there as well as they can't close it for us.
  19. Congrats!!!! We are getting married at the GP in Rivivera Maya on March 31st 2011. We've been booked for a few months now. I've been working with Ariadna so far and she's been great. We are having the ceremony at 4PM and the reception at La Laguna at 7PM. We were thinking about doing the cocktail hour from 5:30 to 6:30 so that our guests have something to do while we are taking pictures (we also booked Claudia for the wedding and TTD... I can't wait to work with her!!!)... I'm just not sure if it would be worth it... I mean, I would love for my quests to be able to eat a few appetizers and have a drink, but is it worth the money when we are already paying for the private reception? We'll see... Plus, the only place she says they have available for the cocktail hour is the Sports Bar which doesn't have a ''wedding feeling'' to it... Do you have pictures of the setup for your reception at Las Rocas? I'd love to see it! Â
  20. I booked him for our March 2011 wedding and he is coming to our room.
