If you need more info, please let me know, have spent 4 weeks there in the last 24 months... I love reading good feedback on the GP! We are getting married there on March 31st 2011. We just booked the date last week with Rocio. I'm beyond excited!!!! Rocio seems to be taking quite a few days to reply to my emails. I've been dealing with Ariadna since booking our date and she's been great so far.

I see lots of threads on photography, but has anyone used a videographer? Here are the ones I've found and comtemplating hiring one of them: Cancun Wedding Videos | Mayan Riviera Wedding Videographer | Mike Cantarell Caper Producciones - Professional video services for weddings in Cancun and the Mayan Riviera Playa Weddings - Video and Photography in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya Does anyone have any feedback on any of them?

Thanks for all your feedback ladies! We plan on doing a cocktail hour... but I'm sure our guests will be more than happy to hang out at the lobby bar if there is too much time in between the ceremony and reception. Would you do: 4PM : ceremony Toast following ceremony Group pictures 5PM or 6PM : cocktail hour? 7PM : reception ?

Is anyone else having two wedding bands?
StephyD replied to jcruzin76's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I'm planning on getting 2 wedding bands as well. The only problem is, my e-ring doesn't fit on my right hand!!! I have really tiny fingers with bigger knucles and it just won't fit on my finger... Should I just have my MOH or fiancé hold on to it and add it to my left hand after the ceremony ? -
I'm starting to lean more towards 4PM now... lol. I can't seem to make up my mind!! The photographer did say that having it at 3PM would be too hot for our guests... which makes sense. She also said we'll start loosing daylight at 6PM... I guess that leaves enough time, right? I'm just scared all of our pictures will be too dark! We did book her for 8 hours... so that won't be a problem. I do want pictures of the reception too... first dance, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, partying, etc...

Here is my dress! It's an Anjolique but since it's last year's collection, it's not on their website anymore. I will have the top altered to be a sweatheart neckline. -
First biggest stress factor... getting people to confirm their attendance! We haven't sent our RSVP yet and still have LOTS of time to go... but still, I'd love for everyone to just confirm they are coming. Second stress factor... My mother in law! She seems to like everything I dislike and wants to plan the wedding... I hate it. It's our day, and she can't just sit in the backseat and enjoy our day, she needs to plan it for us... Ahhhh....

So... we have officially booked our wedding for March31st! So exciting!!! What time, do you think, we should hold the wedding at? I have options of 2PM, 3PM or 4PM. My photographer suggested 4PM... she says that we start to loose daylight at 6PM. The reception is set to start at 7PM and I don't really want a huge gap of time between the ceremony and reception... and still want enough bright daylight for pictures... I'm leaning more towards 3PM... but I wonder if 4PM would be okay. Could we have the reception start around 6PM if we get married at 3PM? What do you think?

Post your bouquet and inspiration pics here
StephyD replied to EDYTA's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Here is my inspiration: I'm not sure if I want my bouquet to be white and my bridesmaid to be orange... or whether we should all get orange... -
Could we please get an update on the clear starfish list?

What are you walking down the Aisle to?

Thank you so much for posting these two songs! I loooove them! I'm pretty sure we are going to incorporate them some way. -
I would love to have some pics!!! I'd love to see how the reception area is set up and what it looks like, centerpieces, table set up, etc. Here's my address: [email protected] Thanks ladies!!

So... I had my mind set on the Grand Palladium until last week, when my Travel Agent suggested the Grand Sunset Princess. Now, I can't make up my mind!!!!! The Grand Palladium's rooms... seem old, outdated and not as luxurious as the GSP. Now, I know, we won't be spending that much time in the rooms anyways, right? So, who cares... well, I do. For some reason, I'm stuck on the gorgeous rooms! Both have a gazebo, which I absolutely want, to hold the wedding at. Both offer private receptions... althought, I think the reception area at the GP seems much nicer, and costs less. The WC at the GSP is much faster to respond via email than the one at the GP... I'm afraid that could be a problem in the long run. Both resort seem to have gorgeous grounds.... Anyone had the same dilemma?

Thanks SuzyQ for all the info you sent!!! I have a few more questions... I guess we need to be there 4 business-days prior to the wedding... why is it 4 days when most resorts in Riviera Maya request you being there 3 days...? Also... for the private Thai reception, if you do private (instead of semi-private), do you have a dance floor? We are planning to have a private reception, with DJ and a dance floor... from the pictures I've seen, it looks pretty small, I'm just wondering if there would be enough room. Also, what decorations do they put up for the reception? What time do they hold the ceremony at?

I'm trying to decide between the Grand Palladium and the Grand Sunset Princess resort. Can anyone send me the wedding packages info?? Also, do you have the WC's contact information? (phone number and email) Email me at: [email protected] What is the different between the Grand Sunset Princess and the Grand Sunset Riviera?? Any info would be great!!! Thanks!!!

I would ask your TA where they're getting that info from and let them know that the WC states only 3 days are required. I see you're from Montreal.
