I'm trying not to freak out about the locations. They all seem to be really nice and overlook the ocean, which is stunning! I definitely will post pics! My photographer is from Cancun and knows of some beaches that are semi-private. So we will probably hit up some of those. If anything, you could always shuttle down to Playa del Carmen and take some on the beach there. I would probably go really early so that you don't have tons of on-lookers. I'm bummed that none of the palace resorts have beaches. I didn't realize this until after I booked.
  2. OK ladies...I've had P90X for sometime now and have opted to go to the gym instead bc I get lazy when I'm at home and end up taking a nap instead of working out! I have 13 days until I leave to Mexico and have been doing 2 a day workouts. I'm determined to go home today and do P90X. My arms could really use the toning! Thanks for the motivation!

Our cocktail hour is going to be at the Maracas Terrace and our reception is at Solarium Mundaca. Yes, we are able to throw unlimited private functions, which is nice. The only other function we are doing as of now is a welcoming dinner. Our photographer is a friend of my FI and actually lives in Mexico. He normally shoots photo shoots and magazine covers. He wants to start shooting weddings and contacted my FI about shooting ours for a great deal. I was hesitant bc his work seemed too poesy for me and I want more natural shots. I talked to him personally and sent him examples of what I want and he said he can do it. I figured, I already get the resorts photographer in our package for a couple of hours so I’m bound to get some nice photos from both. I’ll have our photographer and his assistant for 2 days. So, I’ll most likely do my bridals and TTD, if there is time. Oh…and he is doing video too! I’ll post once I get back and if they are good, I’ll forward his info. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

Nicole Yes, I'm ready to just go and enjoy our special day with our guest. I was thinking of doing some taste testing when we get there but wasn't sure if we could. Dulce sent me an email requesting that I decide now. ;-/ We have 80 guest booked as of today and have about 5 still trying. :-)))
  5. Question...has anyone decided what food to serve for cocktail party and reception?
  6. Congrats and welcome to the forum. It's addicting! Have fun!
  7. I'm SO glad that you're going to be able to get your dress. Way to stay on it!
  8. I met my FI on May 5, 2009 and we were engaged on October 23, 2009. Our wedding is set for June 11, 2010! So we will have our one year anniversary a month before our wedding. I always used to want to gag when people would say “when you know, you know,†but I have to admit they were right. We knew a few months after dating that we were going to be together forever. :-) AWE! haha
  9. I sure did...doing 2 a days! Weights in the am and cardio at night. Crunch time! 70 days to go!

  11. Have you checked with your resort? Ours is included with our guest packages. They just asked us to give them a list of flights and they will make arrangements to transfer to and from the airport.
  12. I'm actually doing shot glasses that are made in mexico from on of the local vendors. They are red clay with bright artwork painted on them (6 pesos) and then purchasing small bottles of tequila for each table with our personal label on them. I'm also doing the fans for the ceremony. For the welcoming gift, I'm having woven tortilla baskets made from a local vendor (65 pesos) and then am buying local bread and sweets to place in them. I'm also doing a welcoming bag with chapstick, sunscreen, and all other small necessities needed for the sun.
  13. I'm getting married here on June 11th! Can't wait!!
  14. My name is Kimberly and I’m getting married in Tulum @ Aventura Cove Palace on 6.11.10! I am super excited that Kristie referred me to this site. I have not been able to focus on anything else besides this forum. At this specific moment I have about 40 people RSVP’d and we’re expecting another 20+. Thanks for all the great info! Look forward to chatting with you all! Kimberly
