I just booked with Jillian Mitchell who is local, but from the United States. She speaks Spanish which is awesome since we don't speak any at all and we're getting married in one of the smaller towns up North and she's been really helpful as far as recommending caterers, designers, and just general help about the area. We were only down once a few years ago so it's nice to have someone down there to communicate with! She seems pretty easy going and worked within our budget so I would definitely check her out. I'm getting married in Sayulita which is a small town North of Vallarta and it's so so cute! I just booked Jillian Mitchell as a photographer and am super excited because she's local so that cuts travel costs for me! I had been planning on bringing one down with me, but then I found Jill and everything seemed to fall into place. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to work with a planner... Does anyone have information about flowers/bouquets and rentals and such? I'm worried that if I don't work with a planner I will have so much more work to do, but on the other hand saving a bit more might help us afford a nicer villa for the wedding!

Hi I'm Rachel Moore I'm getting married in January 2011 in Sayulita I think, but am still looking at villas in Conchas Chinas. I kind of want to stay away from the resort side of things. If anyone has any other suggestions as far as locations go I would love the input! The one thing I have done is the photographer! I booked Jillian Mitchell and I am so so so excited! It seems like most people on the forum get married at resorts. I would love to hear from anyone that has gotten married (or is going to) at one of the villas or i the smaller towns up North like Sayulita and San Pancho. Thanks! I'm excited to be here!

Hi I'm getting married in Sayulita next January and am in the process of booking with Jillian Mitchell. Has anyone else worked with her or know anyone who has? Her photos look great on her website, but I would love to hear some first hand experience too!
