Hey ladies wondering if any of you could post your wedding day timeline. We are staying at Dreams Palm Beach and our ceremony begins at 4:30 at the Jellyfish. I'm trying to figure out when to schedule our hair appts for the day of. We are not doing a first look but I'd like to get some pictures down at the pool/ beach with the bridesmaids and myself before we get ready and still have plenty of time to relax and do our makeup and take pictures back in the room, so if any of you have ideas of time frames I'd greatly appreciate any and all help in the matter. Thanks!!! -

We are doing a symbolic ceremony and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out and let me know who officiates in this case? We don't want anyone from our group doing it. We'd prefer to have someone else as our guests won't know that we've already had a legal ceremony. Does Mayte do it and if so do you send your ceremony script down ahead or just give it to her down there and she reads it right off your paper... Any answers, ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated!! -

We made passport invitations to match the theme of our Kraft Paper Save-the-dates: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/77740/diy-save-the-dates-tons-of-pictures SAVE THE DATES: Below are the INVITATIONS: I made the envelope liner and band by customizing a map that I found and just cutting and glueing them into the envelope. I used glue dots for the bands. My Fiancé trying to help but his lines weren’t exactly the quality I was hoping for J A for effort! I created the first page on picmonkey.com, I wanted a unique invitation. I think it worked well with the fun style of the passport invite. Below is the file of that page: (one of my FAVORITE QUOTES by DMB) I didn’t have too much information to put into my invites because I put all prices and packages on our wedding website. I used the Aylee Designs Template for the passports: PASSPORT INVITATION TEMPLATE (4 pages) by Aylee (www.ayleebits.com) Page 1 (On the inside of the cover) Invitation Page 2 Fun Passport picture page Page 3 Accommodations Page 4 Travel Page 5 Passort Info Page 6 Letter to our guests I made address labels to match the pages of the passport and then just hand wrote the address in: RSVP POSTCARDS: I used one of our engagement pictures, microsoft paint, dafont.com & picmonkey.com to create the RSVP card, I then uploaded the front and back to vistaprint.com and was able to print 100 RSVP postcards for just the cost of uploading the 2 files and shipping! I’ve been working a crazy amount of hours and had no time to get my invites sent out. So one night last week when I was at the office late, my sister and personal attendant came and while I worked on work stuff they worked all night on the invites. Seriously I am so lucky with the people I have in my life!! This entire project cost me just $39.00 because I was somehow able to utilize only supplies I already owned. I didn't even try to cut costs but in the end I realized that I'd only whipped out our wedding check card twice! Once for the Postcard stamps (a had already saved up 100 regular stamps for the invites) and the second time for the shipping on the RSVP cards from Vistaprint. Other supplies I used but already had were: Kraft Paper Cardstock Brochure Paper (for inner pages) Avery 8163 shipping labels for addresses Avery 8293 1" round labels for return addresses Reg paper for envelope liners and bands Envelopes (already had from a previous VistaPrint order) Staples Cutter Martha Stewart Boning Folder Forever Stamps I think that that is everything. Please let me know if you have any questions! Happy Planning Ladies!

hillsi722 Yay! Congratulations!!!! We're both January 2013 brides. My wedding day is January 14 2013. We are getting married at DPB and doing our reception at the jellyfish. Johanna is also our wedding coordinator however I haven't had much contact with her yet. We're waiting until we get all of our RSVP's before we get too into all the options because we have a rather large guest list and the number of people coming can vary greatly. Congratulations all the other 2013 DPB Brides out there too!!!!!!!! -

Stephp1.. Thank you so much for all of that information! I have a question for you. You're question to her about needing to be on the resort for 3 days prior said this doesn't include weekends. We were planning to be there on Friday for our Monday wedding. Does that mean that we'll need to be there by wednesday instead?? Thank you again for all the info! Really helps a lot! -

Yay! So exciting! Your Save the Dates are DEF not going to be too late! We just sent our out in January because that's when we booked and were super excited I love the boarding pass invites and the passport ones as well!!! I had a very hard time deciding! We did something a little different with out save the dates and I'm leaning toward Passport invites. Save the Dates: Link to My post on these: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/77740/diy-save-the-dates-tons-of-pictures Mock up of our Passport (Please don't judge, they are by no means finished ) We are having an at home reception as well and we aren't inviting everyone that will be invited to the At Home to the Destination Wedding. I think everyone understands if you say "We're just having an intimate wedding and then we plan to celebrate with everyone when we return" however, my fiance and I aren't really able to say that anymore since our "intimate" wedding in Punta Cana has turned into a rather large group We each have large families (family takes up nearly 150 of our guest list) We ended up with a guest list of around 200 but plan for more like 50-100 to attend. It's hard when our families are so large. Our guest list includes family, our bridal party and a few of our super close family friends but we will be inviting all the rest of our friends, parents friends, co-workers and such to our at home reception. Just remember to do what make you happy. People will understand!!!!!! It's your day The beach is beautiful, not too rocky, but I did notice that depending on the time of year there's quite a bit of seaweed that washes to shore. They do their best to rake it up but they can't be doing that non stop. It wasn't that big of a deal to us though. You can walk along the shore all the way down because the resort isn't next to another one. It's pretty cool. When we visited we'd walk down the shore at sunset and loveddd it! Makes you almost feel like you are on a deserted island of sorts because there's no one around. -

We haven't picked our package yet either. We expect to have somewhere between 50-100 guests but really have no idea until we get the package prices. Airfare is just starting to go out for our dates. However, we sent out Save the Dates in January and got a lot of positive feedback. I can't wait to have more of the details picked out but for now I'm keeping myself busy working on DIY projects. Ntlsnow: I was hoping we'd be down there together We've booked our photographer, whom we LOVE, and it might be nice to share her since we're bringing her from the states. We chose to get married on a Monday for our guests as well because we all plan to leave the Friday before the wedding and those of our guests who will only be staying for 5 nights will leave on the Tuesday following the wedding and that way, we figured, they won't miss too much of their work weeks. I'm soooo glad there's a thread started for 2013 DPB Brides. Soooo awesome to get to share all of this with others that are in the same boat! -

Oh and stephp1, we were deciding between those two resorts as well and prices were so similar it wasn't worth basing anything off of that alone. Our travel agent highly recommended we choose DPB because it is a much newer resort and a lot prettier (so she says) she told us that because we'd already stayed there she didn't want to see us choose the other resort because she was worried it wouldn't live up to what we'd experienced at DPB. I'm not trying to sway your decision but I figured I'd pass her advice on to you because I know how much I wanted advice while I was trying to decide on a resort.
