  1. Is this the company you're talking about? Treasured Moments Flowers & Gifts, Wedding Flowers & Decor, Ontario - Ontario If so I would post your review on her WeddingWire page. I have no tolerance for shady people and scammers! It's one thing if she delivers a poor quality product, but to completely blow you off like that and not even make an effort to fix it is not ok by me!! I'm glad you found another florist to fix it, but this just makes me mad. Sorry you have to go through this.
  2. November is my favorite month! But I just got engaged recently and I feel like this November is too soon, but next year is too far! So we're going have our wedding in February, me other favorite month.

He offered to go with me one day, so I said sure! We went to 5 different stores... and at the last store, it was the first dress that he saw! He pulled it off the rack and brought it to me. That was the one. We both almost started to cry when it was on me. PERFECTION... found by my hubby. I thought that was worth him seeing the dress. That sounds so sweet and romantic!! I would love to take my fiance dress shopping with me because he always gives an honest opinion, plus I think it would be so much fun. BUT, I also really want it to be a surprise, so I think I will end up trying to keep it a secret.
  4. Thanks for sharing this site! I showed this to my fiance and he loves the idea of a light colored linen suit, so we will probably be ordering a few suits from here. I think the OP should be getting a commission or something..
  5. I found a place that makes custom linen suits for $99 on another BDW thread, here's the website: Studiosuits.com, Custom Suits | Designer Suits And here is a link to the thread which has some great reviews and photos of the suits: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ts-99-a-39694/
  6. That's a great deal! Did you book it directly off American Airlines website aa.com?
  7. I have emailed probably more than a dozen vendors in Cabo for information and have only received a handful of responses. Has anyone noticed that a lot of vendors are slow to respond or completely non-responsive? The vendors I contacted include a few wedding coordinators, rental company, and a number of hotels / venues. For most of the hotels I filled out a contact form on their website, so I don't even remember exactly how many I've requested info from. The few people I did receive a response from took a long time to respond.
  8. I have been searching the forums and reading all the threads I can find about this. It sounds like any regular full service wedding planner can offer day-of services for less. I haven't ever dealt with wedding planners or coordinators before so I just wanted to make sure.
  9. Hey everyone, I'm kind of confused about what a day-of coordinator is. I get that it's a single day service only, but are they different from a wedding planner or is it just a different type of service that all planners offer for a lower price?
  10. You can try www.simpleeleganceincakedesign.com
  11. That really sounds like a dream come true - it seems like everything went perfectly! Congratulations and thank you for sharing! I am also considering Sunset da Mona Lisa for my wedding and would love to see the photos when you get them!!
  12. Thank you so much for all the info - this is a huge help! I still haven't picked a villa yet, but when I decide on a place I will ask the owner. Another general question, can anyone recommend a "day-of" wedding coordinator or is this something most wedding planners offer?
  13. Would anyone mind telling what rates you received at Dreams? I just checked their website and the lowest price for rooms was the junior suite at $450/night. I would love to aim for the free wedding package but I don't think my guests will be able to afford it at this price. Anyone know if they have lower priced rooms, perhaps non-ocean views?
  14. I can do most of the planning online, it's just the setup of the ceremony that I'm not sure about (i.e. chairs, linens, gazebo, etc). Ana you are so right I definitely would not want to be worrying about the setup on my wedding day! Riokayak, what was the rental company / coordinator you used? Will a catering company rent out chairs for the ceremony only if we decide to have the reception at a restaurant? I did find a rental company that charges about $10 per chair, not including the covers and sashes, but I feel like a wedding planner might be able to get a better deal. (Of course then the cost of the planner would balance that out..)
  15. I haven't picked a venue yet but I just noticed that ME Cabo has garden view rooms for only $119/night. That seems like a great rate for the location even if it's not oceanfront. Which package are you going with?
  16. Thank you for the advice! A private beach area sounds great. I will have to look into Dreams Cabo and see if my guests will be able to stay there.
  17. Wow these are beautiful! I'd never heard of real touch flowers before this, but I love it and and now I think I'll be using them as well! Thanks!
  18. Hey Jess what kind of decorations are you planning to bring? I hadn't thought of bringing my own decorations, but it sounds like a great idea and would help save some money!
  19. Dreams seems to be a popular place to get married, I'm wondering why? I'm a total newbie. I have been on their site and it looks very nice, but so do all the other resorts! Are their prices any better, or is the resort itself that much better? Also are the Dreams brides also staying at the hotel or just having your wedding there? Someone please fill me in!
  20. Thanks for the advice. If I were going to have a resort wedding I would just use the coordinator provided, but since it's going to be a private venue I wasn't sure if I would need one. I think I should be able to get by without one thought (with the help of this forum, of course!)
  21. Thank you so much - this is super exciting!!
  22. Can anyone tell me how much Signature Weddings charges for their services?
  23. Has anyone planned a wedding without a wedding planner, or intends to plan the entire wedding themselves? I've heard that having a wedding planner is great, but since I will be having a pretty small wedding I'm thinking about going without one. Right now I'm considering having the ceremony at either a private villa or a restaurant, so I would need to find someone to do the setup / decoration and tear down afterward. Any suggestions? Thank you!
  24. Vday your wedding looks so beautiful, congratulations! This is so exciting, I just hope it won't be a letdown once the wedding is over lol
