Just came back from my site visit, and did an engagement shoot with Cecilia Dumas. She is amazing, professional, super easy to work with! We were stuck with some timeshare dudes at our hotel, she patiently waited for us for 30 minutes! The shooting went like a breeze, and everyone back at home loves my pics! I highly recommend her! I love my pics...heehee...I am such a self-admirer (a typical virgo) Yes! you will have a blast! Please let me know about your trial at Waves Beauty Salon! I am thinking of hiring Trevor too. I thought photographers are expensive...until I saw the prices for hair and makeup artists! Geez...I think I am in the wrong industry!

The thing is Royal guests' bracelets are transparent with golden prints..and Gran Porto Real guests' bracelets are vivid yellow. Thus they are very visible, and the security guards would ask them to leave (even if they pass the bell boys)

Now...you made me really want to get TTD in a cenote, except 1) Like a vampire squid, I rely on my bonus. 2) I wear contact lenses..so I am a bit afraid of losing them in the water 3) I dive and snorkel..but I can't swim (it is a psychological thing, because I could swim very far without knowing and almost got drowned as soon as I "realize" that my feet can't touch the ground so many times in the past)!!!

Thx for all the kind words on my engagement pics! They were shoot by Cecilia Dumas, in case someone is considering her and wants to see her works. She is very sweet, pro, efficient and very easy to work with. My FI was like luckily I am tiny, otherwise he wouldn't do the lifting pose! kekeke Nicy, the soft curl up-do with the white flower is still the winner! I would highly recommend up-do with tons of hairspray, because it can be very windy. I also love the signature mats/picture frame! I posted a link with ones that looks like the one at Davids Bridal, they are bigger and more expensive...but they ship to internationals. I can't wait for everyone to receive their dress and post their pics (real bride with real body in their dress, not the super skinny model pic)...kekekeke...mine will arrive in 1 month...ah....CAN'T WAIT!!

They have pool table at the lobby too! The Gaviotas next to the pool is a good place if you do it during day time.

OK girls...I think there are so many reviews on the Royal RDC menu before this one... so I guess this one will be just a refresher of the previous ones. Of course, everyone's taste is different, and sometimes, the chef's performance can vary from day to day, ingredients' freshness can also vary. Brief description of me and my FI: I am a 30 yrs old, born in Hong Kong, raised in Hong Kong and Montreal. Both cities are home of many Micheline stars restos and gourmet restos, and my dad is a chef and was the head chef of a 5 stars hotel in Hong Kong. I was fed with resto food since I was a kid (my mom can't cook), thus I am extremely picky with food. My FI is born in Montreal, raised in Belgium. Not so picky with food compared to me, but very picky with sweets. Salads: Alexandria sala with duck breast, watercress and aioli: taste OK, but duck was very greasy and the skin wasn't crispy. It is not like duck confit neither. Livornese salad with smoked salmon & capers: very tasty salmon, but I can eat that every lunch. The tomato part was very tasty and well balanced. GREAT for people who doesn't eat smoked salmon every week. Royal Seafood salad perfumed with peach and plum oil: didn't taste any peach or plum. it was more like a curry mixed with seafood. very light texture and seafood was very fresh. Highly recommended for someone who like curry or wants smth different.

The lobby bar or the tequila bar are great place to hangout...depending on the side of your group. If u wanna an ICY cold environment with finger food and pool tables...the 24H snack bar is also a great blace to hangout, they also have a balcony for people who wants to get some heat!

I have done my engagement shoot with Cecilia Dumas on the Royal PDC beach last week, and she is AMAZING! We did the shooting on Wednesday and got the pics on Saturday! SWEET, Very easy to work with and very efficient!
