Michelle, U r welcome. You can just search babyonline on Dhgate. The rouching and the front hem, you can talk about it with the dressmaker, but my feel is that you may need alter and pressing to make them according to your taste (a bit above the ground front hem and tight + flat rouching). Unless you are very lucky, usually it will require fittings to make the dress fit like the one on the model pics.

Michelle, Thx. Not that I am very knowledgeable, I just like to do research. Due to the fact that your dress doesn't have a not of beadings, and u want it to be shorter with a sweep train, you can with Babyonline on dhgate, I think another bride ordered a similar style from them, and it came out fine. I ordered my bff's dress from babyonline (because Monica Bridal charged some extra because my bff is a bit fat...hahaha), it came out nice too (just waiting for my bff comes back from Asia to try it on), from what I see..the size (the length) looks fine, again my bff is fat not obese yet (size 14 with a size 20 waist...how she can accumulate so much fat..I dunno) so maybe...it won't fit. It is hard to tell. I will post pics once I got her to try on her dress (assuming I can zip her up). The cons of Monica Bridal is..the dress may come too big ( I didn't have this problem..and waiting for my second dress from them), the pros of Monica Bridal are their beadings, lace and tulles are better than other competitors and client service is excellent. As for Gianinar Bridal , I always find their quality is very inconsistent. Some dresses came out very nice, some were very very disappointing. So I didn't went with them. The other problem with Gianinar was that they never told me NO...which for me, it was important. I want honest dressmaker who doesn't over promised and leaves me disappointed. Babyonline told me that they can't make the dress that I designed with a corset lace up back, Monica Bridal told me they can't make the fold and layers like my drawings, and Topspartner told me that they won't invest the time to do that much beadings for my dress even I am willing to pay if I am only ordering 1 dress and not a wholesale quantity ...Gianinar never said NO to me, so for that I was a bit..skeptical. So...here are my suggestions: Simple dress and not too much of beadings and laces, limited budget---> Babyonline Complicated dress with a lot of laces and beadings and you want to fully customized..and don't wanna pay too much--> Monica Bridal Nice replicas of Maggie and Pronovias dresses..etc with a lot of bones, nice lace and embroidery with minimum customization and willing to pay more --> Topspartner Anyone who is above size 14, go buy your dress at a local bridal shop and negociate to have FREE alter, because it is hard for a local chinese to imagine a size 14 or anything above and beyond. My bff has a size 14 body with a size 10 bust and size 20 waist (yes, very unproportional, and very unhealthy) Don't worry obesity is sad but pandemic so..in 5 yrs, they may have a better idea.

Lisa, Find another girl with the same name! heehee...I know how you feel! My friend found out that her BM couldn't fit into her BM dress 1 week before her wedding (because BM ate too much and gained weight!!!), my friend was piss! Msglave, Great Idea..$7.99 wow..that is a deal! Jenny, I think I saw a chart on time of sunset in PDC/ Cancun somewhere online or on this forum.

Mocha, I told them to take pic while measuring the dress with a soft ruler (so we can see the dress with the measurments). Of course, there are always +/- 1 inch margin of error. Your dress is obviously off by more than 1 inch. I guess on our side, there is nothing much we can really do, except not to take the measurement by ourselves or give "ideal" measurements (one of my friend's BM did that thinking she would loss 5-10 lbs of weight, and instead she gained an extra 10 lbs...hahaha it was too funny)

hahahaha..due to my employer's high profile, I usually don't disclose my employer's name, just blah out my occupation..portfolio analyst..and most of the salespeople would not have any clue about my occupation. In addition, my e-ring is a bit unusual, so again for average mortals who work in a local bridal shop, they would think it is a citrine or a yellow sapphire. Therefore, they always ask about my budget..and I would say very limited..and they would tell it is ok..we will work around your budget..hahahaha

I am serious, when there is doubt..and undecided, just buy both. I do have the same style of clothes in different colors ( the same trench coat in 3 different color and same shirt or same top in 4 colors, same shoes in 2 colors), because I just couldn't decide which color to pick...they all looked good to me! lol My FI was a bit shocked at the begining, and now he is just got used to it.

Ginger, $199 plus tx only can offer enough to cover your bum bum! you want a longer dress?!?! well...well..u have to add more $$$$! hahahaha Badgergirl, I think the Monica Bridal rep would recognize your dress looks like a Maggie dress! Overall, it is an easy to make style, and it is easy to alter too. Just tell them to add some bones and take pics with a ruler measuring the dress. After all, we can't have champagne with a beer budget!

Nan, There is no point to be negative and upset (it is bad for health also), because it doesn't really change what already happened. Everything happened for a reason, and there is always a brighter side of every situation. Focus on the positives and laugh more! heehee... Sometimes, I tried to be multi-tasking in my office, listen to Goldman's conference calls (put myself on mute), and browse the forum at the same time! hahahahaha... Ginger, $140 for a big organza dress with layers and layers of ruffles in North America?! well, I just browsed the H&M website, checking out their authorized Lanvin Paris knockoffs a.k.a Lanvin for H&M. ok ..first I have to do lineups at 5/6 am next Saturday to ensure I can get to buy those Lanvin knockoffs from10am to 12pm, and the cheapest short ruffle dress is $199 plus tx! Pretty cute for a party dress or BM dress.

Ginger, WORDS! Nan, I think the most funny thing was the bride was so into the moment and touched by those emotional words, even her bum bum was probably sweating..but she didn't care. Meanwhile, the guests who weren't that emotionally moved by the blah blah blah...were just grilling like lobsters, starrrrring at those cold Mojitos, Margarita, Dirty Monkey, Miami Vice..etc served on the beach and at those lucky people who were dipping in the water! hahahaha

Yeap, since I ordered another dress from them, I was on chat with the rep last night. Apparently, only those from this forum are having size issues, so from now on, they will take pics with a ruler so they can prove they make it according to the size provided by the buyers. Since no one of us wants to pay $200 to alter, and they don't want to sell dresses at a 50% discount, I think this pics with measurements can be a solution (even I didn't really got this problem with my dresses).

LOL! Nan, it is funny as long as we are not those balding male guests with a buddha belly, who were trying to endure the whole 30-45 min of blah blah blah... I contacted them, and love their site, it is like a complete catelog of all major wedding gown designers, plus they got shoes and bags. You can also see their finished products pics. Communication was great, my feel is they are like the middle man, so they take the order and forward it to a factory to make them. If you want a dress with no modification, they are good, except their price is usually higher (they have 2 price brackets, regular and nicer materials) the higher price is around topspartner's price. I didn't went with Duosheng because I asked for too many stuffs on my dress, and they were unwilling to comply and take on the challenge. Half of my family live in Australia, so I sometimes browse Aussie brides' forum too. I remember I saw a thread on an Aussie forum only about Duosheng, and the reviews were good.
